I had the tv die after one year twice. the first time they fixed it. the second time they gave me a new tv but forced me to pay for a whole new protection plan even though I had 3 years left on my old warranty. all because they gave me a new tv instead of just repairing the old one. Then the first geek came to drop off my new replacement tv, said he could not see the model number right in front of his eyes. Took off with my new tv over his shoulder. had to wait another 45 minutes for another delivery attempt and had to put up with a completely rude lady on the phone when I called in to tell her what happened. She kept trying to blame me!!!

Excellent purchase. The warranty through Geek Squad helps me feel at ease in case something does happen.

Geek squad protection plan is a must for your Electronics

This is a must with new electronics as sometimes reliability is not there on a new product.

Do not buy this service or at best buy, period. When you try to return your TV that had a display failure 30 days after purchase, they will send you home woth the non-functioning TV and tell you to call a 1800 # that is unable to schedule your "service" in the next 2 weeks. But you cant return it... good thing i paid for the exended warranty. You can only return a product to the store for 15 days after purchase. They would rather pay a Geek Squad to drive 1 hour plus roynd trip to try and repair a $250 tv rather than exchange it in store and send the tv(still under manufacturers warranty) to repair. Worst customer service I've had from any business in at least a decade. If i could give no starsor a negative star review I would.

I always buy protection plans but actually never had to use one. But, of you have a problem its covered.

For the cost of the 5 year plan it is well worth the money.

Hoping we will never have to use this but for the extra price it is worth having.

This is "in case" insurance. I'm hoping I don't need this.

You should almost always buy a extended warranty but they can be a bit pricy, Nice to have though.
