Geek Squad initial service call was set up for us while we were in the store - two techs came out - I had already set up and configured the video and audio on my TV and soundbar, so they did not have much to do, other than check over all the settings - so far, service has been good

I get this every time I buy expensive electronics. You never know when something is going to go wrong.

I recommend purchasing protection plans if possoble

This is my Sony receiver and believe you me it is great. It has so many different functions I can play in my main room as well as outside on my patio or in a different room in my home.

I love the geek squad protection plans, I buy them, but don't ever want to have to use them. I have ended up using them one time and they solved my problem very quickly and without any problems.

Warranty is always great with expensive products. There’s a warranty you should get just in case anything happens. You’re covered.

I purchased geek squad protection for a 43” tv which malfunctioned after 18 mos. Geek squad provide a new tv at no cost. Had to pay for installation and renew Geek Squad protection, but I am very satisfied.

Overall, I don't normally purchase these but I did for my last sound bar and it paid off 100%. They get you with the fine print, though. Smaller, certain items are sent off for repair and could take 4-8 weeks. Only having sound from the tv was not an option so I had to buy a new one.
