Can it protect whats already broken?

The good news is that if you just bought your television, it should be under a manufacturer’s warranty. I suggest reaching out to the manufacturer to see if they’re able to get your television fixed. If the television as bought in the past 15 days, it may also be returnable under our Return & Exchange Promise, as long as it is not physically damaged. Better options

Our Best Buy Total Tech Support plan, powered by Geek Squad, does offer remote software service at no additional charge. Please consider signing up the next time your computer needs service to avid unhooking your computer and brining it down to your local store.
