    Nightmare

    My experience with my geek squad TV replacement was nothing short of a nightmare. After a mistake on there end...what should have only taken 2 days for the replacement ended up taking over a month. I literally called over 15 times and was told something different by every CSR that I talked to. Eventually the gift card that was supposed to be electronically sent showed up in the mail with no correspondence from Geek Squad. I am grateful that my TV replacement was covered under warranty but furious about the way it was handled and how long it took.

    I have always been a big believer on The Geek Squad protection plan. I purchase a premier TV LED 8 seriers Samsung and I wanted to ensure that I was being protected under Geek Squad protection plan. My kid had accident where my TV has a crack on the screen and was told that it would be replaced by customer service representative I was missed informed Once I scheduled an appointment and was told that I would be taken care of. I was excited to tell my family that it would be fixed. Come to find out later that evening the technician that was going to come out to fix my TV told me that he would charge me an additional $100 in order to take a look at my TV and he asked me what had happened to the screen. I provided to him the information as to how my screen got cracked and mention that the protection plan did not cover and if he ended up coming to my house. I would be billed an additional costs just to look at it. I appreciate the technician explaining to me my options before being billed more. I would like to provide a lower rating but it is not possible. Very disappointed on being missed inform by the customer service representative from Geek Squad that schedule my appointment. It's been over a month and half now i have not yet recived my reimbursemnet nor my extra remote that is included in the protection plan. I would think twice before buying TV protection.

    I liked the fact that I was offered a 5 year warrant on my Sony tv. So far i haven’t had to use it.

    5 year Geek Squad protection Plan

    The 5 Year Standard Geek Squad Protection Plan is something I have purchased in the past for all my Electronic devices that I have purchased at Best Buy. Sometimes it can me be a waste of money, you really just need to make a personal choice and weigh the benefits Incase something happens. If you purchased something that cost over $200.00 then a Protection plan for $35 to $50 would be worth it to fully replace it if something happened to it for a 5 year time frame. But if it cost less than $100.00 I would not recommend a Protection Plan, just buy another item to replace it.
