Haven't had to use it yet but for the price it is worth it!

I have been purchasing the Geek Squad Product replacement plan on more things these days and this time it saved me. I broke the plastic tabs trying to install the stand on my Samsung 28" 4K monitor. I took it in and they gave me a brand-new monitor. But here was the problem. The monitor was only 3 months old, so I had to buy another Geek Squad replacement plan to protect a basically brand new monitor for another 4 years. Oh well, just to keep that in miind when you buy something and add the protection plan.

It was alright, functioned unless you wiggle the cord. It turns off and stays off for minute if you do that.

I found this to be a necessity for certain electronic items like TV's and Monitors since they can get hot over time and the inner components can get used up and fried, especially if you have it on for a long period of time after a few years.

Really like this monitor. Big upgrade from one I was using.

Haven't use the squad service but is better to have it and no used that needed and not have it.

Geek squad has always been great. Have used them for years. Techs arrived on time and were fast and efficient at installing the new big screen. Connected everything to the WiFi network and synched up all the remote controls. Explained everything and cleaned up before leaving. Very satisfied and will use them again.

I had a very poor experience with Asurion, the extended warranty thru Office Depot after purchasing a new laptop a few years ago. I no longer want to deal with a "faceless" entity for warranty issues/problems. I want a PLACE to go and a HUMAN to speak with. After researching my options (which there are not many), I decided to purchase my new laptop with Best Buy and purchase the additional Geek Squad warranty. I hope all goes well with this, and I believe it will b/c I will have a person and place to hold accountable, instead of a 1-800 number and a website.

Most companies make you register products after purchase (but neglect to tell you that!?!?) or have you deal with an 800 number that takes you to a company that ... who knows who it is, what they do, or what their customer service ranking is. Not so with Best Buy Protection! If you have an issue you bring it into the store (any store), show them your paperwork, explain what happened and get a replacement OR a full "credit" towards the purchase of a new device. Like I said, "For heavily used devices, we ALWAYS buy the protection"!
