I am a warranty type of person. I have had to use the geek squad warranty on a previous television. I was really glad that I had it. The IT tried to walk me through a few things and found that the peace that was no longer working was not replaceable so we ended up with a brand new TV. Without the warranty and having access to a service rep, I don’t think we would have known how to fix it. Plus, the fact that they no longer made the part to fix it, we would’ve been out of luck.

Let’s hope the tv either lasts longer or breaks within g the 5 year window, this warranty purchase will determine if I ever purchase one again. 10/10….

Purchased this warranty with my son's 43 inch Insignia tv. His tv went out within a year of purchase, and after I contacted customer service to let them know they did honor my warranty but let me know since I was getting a new item I would have to repurchase the warranty.

Protection for any expensive device is worth it period. Dont over think it.

Before I went to the store, I was going to buy on Amazon and get a three-year warranty for 2999 but when I went to the store for $10 more I got a five-year warranty and they would come to my house to fix it so it was a better deal

I have not had to use it thankfully so hard to rate but the price was good

BestBuy comes to your house to fix your TV, unless it's smaller than 50".... if they can't fix it, they will replace it with the same TV or like technology... or a gift card and you can pick something else out. Get the protection plan, protect your investment... you're welcome.

We have always purchased our electronics from Best Buys, because of the Geek Squad excellent protection plans. They back everything they sell. We have been 100% pleased with their excellent service for many years. Would recommend them to anyone.

Geek Squad is also arguably the most polished computer-help service, offering not only online help, but in-store and at-home repair services, too. It's also the least-expensive service I've tested and includes a license for top-notch security software. Geek Squad technicians, on the whole, delivered the best results among the services tested, and they didn't pester me to purchase additional products.

It’s pretty much gotten to the point where if you spend over $500 on a TV you have to buy “5 year insurance”. My personal experience has been very good getting equipment fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Have had to call for service 3 times and it has always been a positive experience.
