Multiple Profile Crash Issue on Google TV

This complaint is in no way a reflection of BestBuy or services received from BestBuy. I'm posting here because I purchased this TV from BestBuy. ***WARNING***12/18/2023 (Hisense 65U7H). I reached out to Hisense support today regarding the multiple profile issue. Hisense advised this is a software issue and that I needed to contact Google support. I responded, I have multiple Google TV devices including Nvidia Shield, old laptops running android systems, and a $19 Onn 4k streaming box; and multiple profiles work completely fine on every other device I have running Google TV. The Hisense TV is the only device multiple profiles doesn't work. If there is a conflict with drivers or software between Hisense and Google TV; then Hisense should have reached out to Google by now to resolve this issue that appears to have been going on for more than a year now. Hisense should have taken the initiative to provide a better customer experience other than sell a product and then tell the customer to reach out to the software developer whom was used in the making of this unit.

So we bought a dishwasher and the five year protection plan. Here's what you'll get if it breaks down after three years. (1) You can't use chat; you must call them; (2) You'll be put on hold; (3) After a long hold, you'll talk to someone who can't find your order, even though you've read the order to him three times; you may wonder if this person has a junior high education; (4) He will tell you the system is having problems; it's not his fault; he doesn't know what to do; (5) You will need to call back; (6) You will be put on hold; (7) You'll talk to someone else with the same low-level skills as the person the previous day; (8) There will be issues with the connection because the call center is somewhere overseas (my guess, Latin America, though on this I could be wrong); (9) This person at one point will say "Hello, Hello," as though they can't hear you and hang up; (10) They won't call you back even though you gave them your phone number at the start of the call; (11) You will have to call back again, start the process over, etc. >>If this sounds like an awesome customer experience you'd like to have, go buy one of these plans. If not, shop somewhere (really, anywhere) else.

    Better options available

Compared this with another TV, simultaneously set to the same video and this TV, despite an hour or so of tweaking. proved to be washed out with skin tones that drifted from pale to red. Amazed at the number of positive reviews but noticed the disclaimers. Spent an extra 40$ at best-buy and now have an outstanding TV whose manufacturer name stars with Tob

Great video quality but OS and adwares devaluates.

Such a pity and huge missed opportunity for consumers. This is a great TV from video quality perspective yet Tizen and Samsung own TV channel diminish its value to ZERO. Whatever you do in settings, Samsung’s own TV channel aggressively takes over every time you turn the TV back on. It goes to some arbitrary channel that may be political or sexual in content which you have no control. There is no way to delete or stop this channel from coming on and showing its content. You have to go to main menu and select one of your apps to get back to sanity. This is relatively inexpensive 43 inch TV. But I am looking for large high end TV with OLED. Because Samsung decided to be an ADWARE company rather that an electronics company? I will have to get a Sony that pushes no channels or advertisements to its endusers. In my opinion, Samsung has committed a marketing suicide with forcing its own content and ads to customers aggressively. Its global head of product development for TVs should be fired immediately. And Samsung please do no respond to my review with a generic “call is we will help”. Just fix the problem and send a SW update.

Shipping takes way to long especially when it says it gets to your home tomorrow but doesn’t. But overall I’ve heard great things about this tv from my cousins that’s why I’m buying it.

I purchased a 55" RCA Flat screen TV on 7/31/2015 and 5 months later on Christmas eve I notice the TV won't turn on. I call the 800# in the RCA manual and speak with a service tech. He informs me that the TV is still under the 1 year warranty and they would be happy to come out and fix it but it won't be until Jan.8,2016. then I remembered I had purchased the 5-yr warranty from Best Buy. So I tell him to hold off that I was going to call Best Buy. I figured the warranty would get me something. IT DID NOT. I was told the t.v. would have to be shipped off and it could take months to fix. Also If they had to come out and get it it would take longer, especially sense they had to try to find packaging for it. The GEEK SQUAD tech, wish I remembered his name, seemed put off and very negative about the whole situation. Like I was inconveniencing HIM...not the other way around. I spent close to 700 bucks on tv and warranty. I won't ever do that again. I've gotten better customer service from vendors on Ebay

Bought an out of box samsung qn90d 75" at a steal of a price, bought the protection because it's out of the box, I wanted it to be covered if I plugged it in at home and it was damaged. Low and behold, the screen was cracked when I plugged it in. I brought the tv in the next day, and they said they couldn't do anything and sent me home with a broken tv... At least i got a refund for this pointless "protection plan."

    Scratch on screen not covered.

When I purchased the coverage I was told that it covered accidental damage. Shortly after purchase my daughter dropped a broom and the end of the handle scratched the screen. When I called the GEEK squad they told me there is no coverage for anything like that. I still enjoy the TV but there is a white line down the screen that is annoying. I guess it is just an extension of the factory warranty that only covers defective parts.
