It's really worth the price to be protected.

Brought it into Bestbuy, had to make an appointment to speak with a Geek Squad member. Next appointment was available the following weekend. I went in the next Saturday, TV was sent out within a day or so. I kept getting emails telling me what was going on. After 5 days or so they told me nothing could be done to repair the TV, it would cost too much. And I was getting a replacement. Went back to Bestbuy and they gave me a gift card for the full amount. If I didn't buy this protection plan, I would be out of $600. Needless to say I used the gift card to buy a new TV and I bought the extended warranty.

You can’t beat this support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you determine that you want to take care of a device for a certain amount of time, and you decide the price is right for that item, then nothing beats Geek Squad coverage. If they can’t troubleshoot your problem, they will send a technician to repair it. If they can’t repair it or determine it not to be cost effective to do so, they replace your item within the time period for your coverage. I don’t get it on everything, but for something I know I’m going to be trying to use for 5+ years, it really doesn’t make sense to forego this coverage long term.

They get the job done

In my case, it was my old tv. They got a team to come take a look at my problem in less then a week (during COVID-19) and were very sanitary and took necessary precautions while in my home. They wasted no time and corrected the problem very quickly. They were in and out in 10 minutes (I mean it) Bravo, y’all are bomb. Get an insurance plan guys, because it didn’t cost me a thing (or a deductible) and they’re smart and fast. Do it.

Geek Squad installed my new TV Quickly!

I Want My Samsung TV

Also received my purchase in anquick and timely manner. My new television produces a clear and ceisp picture with perfect smart app capabilities. I would highly suggest this product to anyone looking for a new television and for an affordable price.

No-Brainer

Especially items that have in-home protection because they are to large to take to the store. My 60" Samsung Smart TV broke 3 yrs after purchase which meant the manufactures warranty would've expired. Fortunately I had a 5 yr Geek Squad plan. They came to my home assessed the problem and because they didn't have the parts to repair my Samsung they gave me a voucher to purchase a newer model as a replacement. I paid $220 for the protection plan on the 60" it was worth every penny! Otherwise I would have nothing. So I gladly paid $189 for the 5 yr protection plan on the replacement TV

I had an issue i made the call to them with in 2 days they came by diagnosed the problem as a bad mother board . I was told the geek squad service would replace it at no cost . They contacted me within a day & schuled an exchange day . It took about 6 days from start to finish they picked up & delivered the new . All in all its worth it .

I spoke to friends and family about their experience and found it compelling enough for myself on my new display. In the past, I purchased a 65" 4k TV that had vertical banding issues, I went through the manufacturer for repair and it was a headache to go back and forth and wished I forked the dollars for protection via Best Buy. I also will say that the 5 year protection and price brackets are pretty competitive in terms of value. This is about protecting the consumer and I fully appreciate Best Buy and Geek Squad being very transparent about that in this program.

Geek Squad Protection Plans

I feel better with the Geek plan than the item's manufacturing warranty. When using the warranty through the manufacturer, many problems evolve: ie time for replacement/repairs, shipping the item to the manufacturer, communication, etc. I had to use my Geek Squad protection plan on two large purchases and I was highly satisfied with the results!

Convenient for repair / replacement of TVs

Westinghouse is a great budget-friendly choice for people who don't need the ultimate performance in a TV set. Mine haven't actually required any warranty service. But I have read reviews on here that say the TV must be shipped to the manufacturer's site(s) for in-warranty repairs. That shipping cost could be significant, and that facility is across the country from me. With the protection plan, I can let the Geek Squad repair facility conveniently handle the repair or replacement. Shipping a sizable TV across the USA one way would cost more than the price of these protection plans.
