When my item wasn't able to be repaired, I was given a credit to purchase a new one.

He broke my last computer by swinging a toy into it, so I now have that extra peace of mind should he do something like that again with his new tv.

Have not had to use it yet but have had to use the extended warranty in past purchases. The warranty is well worth the money.
