At the time of purchasing my tv I was asked if I wanted to also buy the protection plan. I said yes, because if something was to go wrong with the tv being as large as it is I would not be able to bring into store for repair. My tv is 4 years old and I have 1 year left on the service plan and I'm having issues with the sound. Since I have the service plan I wanted someone to come to my home and fix it. Now I'm being told my service plan does not cover in home service. In other words I was taken advantage of because the rep new I that's why I was purchasing the protection plan so I would have in home service if something went wrong with my tv.

I probably won't purchase a warranty again. Unfortunately it doesn't cover most damages that go wrong.

Baught this tv and after I unboxed it the top half of the screen was blooming . I had contacted the store and they told me that i couldn't bring it back to the store i needed to call geeksqwad so i did . They arived and said it needed a new screen so they ordered a new screen. By this time i couldn't exchange it for a different model. Now they replaced the screen and the problem is still there but worse. Now its flickering and im stuck with this brand new $2,300 TV that has been taken apart and put back together( not a good feeling) especially when it doesn't function properly.

They have this set up to automatically renew and I did not know that until the $100+ came out of my account. Very disappointed and I hope I remember to change that before it does that again

Bought private label tv. Worth the extra money to get the plan on such an item that lacks the quality of a name brand.

There should be a partial or full refund if warranty is not used. This could be used as a credit towards new purchases or gift cards.

Didn't need to use them so i'm not really sure how good their survive is. However I did call them one and they were pretty friendly and eager to help.

I bought a laptop and it broke . It was 32 days old and they told me that if I would have bought the warranty it would be covered but because I didn't I was just out a laptop. So when I get a TV I also got the warranty to be safe. My TV screen started showing double and they tell me I am not covered because it looks like something hit the screen.

Returned this device, too expensive. Can get same warranty at Costco for a tenth of the price even if bought from bestbuy.

Figure it was worth the 5 yr warranty on such a big purchase but im not sure about the price Seems like we are hedging the brunt of the bet

I came in on 2 occasions and felt like the geek squad wasn’t really there to help me especially when they broke the backs to help the person in front of me and the other behind me I was given an answer that it wouldn’t be worth fixing my item but you didn’t even attempt to look at it but yet another company was willing to help and then the manufacturer got involved and found out that the tv was fixable and it didn’t cost any. If the associate at all your location wouldn’t judge a book by its cover and work with me like they did for the other 2 folks I wouldn’t have such a bad taste in my mouth and maybe even would probably still be shopping at Best Buy

DOES NOT COVER EVERYTHING. USE ONCE THEN IT IT OVER WITH!

Since we brought the tv for a family member and it was a brand we haven't heard of we got the extra warranty. Hopefully if needed it'll be great.

Buying this really depends on personal preference. At checkout make sure you clarify WHICH protection for your product you want.
