I have had bad luck with smaller flat screen TVs (that lasted only 2-3 years) so I decided it was worth getting. If the TV becomes unusable, they will repair or replace it.

After purchasing a fairly expensive TV, the extra $$ spent for the Geek Squad protection package gives you peace of mind in case something does go wrong with your purchase.

I am always amazed by how quickly my problems are resolved when I have geek squad, I always buy the extra service when I can because I haven't been let down yet

Hands down Best Buy’s warranty is the best compared to other stores. If buying something valuable you have to get the warrenty.
