I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. I was only slightly familiar with a Chromebook but after speaking with the BB salesman, I knew this was a good fit. I just needed something to surf the net and for my daughter to watch YouTube videos. It comes on so fast! I use this for everything and only use the Windows laptop if I need to use some type of program. I've already had my mother buy the same one.

Chromebooks are easy to use, stay up to date automatically and are pretty secure. More and more they have most of the productivity apps needed and even remote desktop and printing. This specific model was reasonably priced, has a nice screen, great keyboard and track pad. My Mom is using it for email and letters and is enjoying the machine. I am enjoying many fewer technical support calls then when she used Windows PCs.

I use this laptop to do school work online. Computer is fast and has a decent sized screen.

This laptop is honestly great. For web browsing, doing research, writing papers- it’s actually fast and an overall great laptop. KEEP IN MIND that this is a Chromebook and is centered around google. I needed to buy a Dell because a lot of college applications, such as microsoft word, wouldn’t work on the chrome book. Otherwise I would’ve kept it! DEFINITELY worth the money though.

This is my second chromebook and I've been very happy with it. The large display and onboard speakers are good. I use it primarily for research; but, also watch videos/webinars and, have video visits with friends and family. There is, sometimes, a lag with the keyboard - you may find that only the last three letters of the five-letter word you just typed are what were entered into your search bar - but this usually is only right after start-up. On occasion, the cursor may not stay where you left it. If you get up for a coffee break, make sure you know where it is before you start typing again! As long as the user understands the limitations of a chromebook (the inability to add software programs), and can make peace with that, there should be no real disappointment. You can work online, so anything web-based is available. There are apps and games available in the play store, and chrome extensions as well. The google suite provides word processing and spreadsheet capabilities, and you can expand storage via the cloud or external memory slots. My main regret is that I haven't been able to find a way to generate a ged.com file locally, which is a genealogy-specific issue. Overall, I'd do it again.
