Inexpensive, but quite capable, Chromebook
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid just over $100 for this and did not expect much for that price. Actually, this turned out to be a very capable machine. I wanted it to carry with me when I needed a quick connection to the net and do simple tasks. This more than meets the bill. The battery life is excellent. It lacks a slot for memory expansion and the ports are limited, but for connecting to the Internet and as a fast, light portable machine, it is great.

Great product, great price
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Acer Chromebook 311 Laptop for my 9 y/o, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. This Chromebook is a fantastic device that offers incredible value for its price. The 11.6" HD display is crisp and clear, making it great for streaming videos, browsing the web, and working on homework projects. T The MediaTek MT8183C Octa-Core processor combined with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM ensures smooth and efficient performance. The 32GB eMMC storage provides ample space for storing files and documents, and the addition of WiFi 5 connectivity ensures fast and reliable internet access. I appreciate the versatility of the USB Type-C ports, which allow for easy connectivity to external devices and accessories. The battery life is impressive, lasting for hours on a single charge. Overall, the Acer Chromebook 311 is a solid choice for students in need of a reliable and affordable laptop for everyday use. Its performance, portability, and features make it a standout device in its category, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a Chromebook

Acer Chromebook 311 Laptop
||Posted . Because of the price paid it was suggested to purchase a new than to check/fix what was wrong with this one.

Decent for average use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to replace my old, dying laptop mainly so i can watch movies and shows on trips. Pros: - fast, responsive - android phone integration - Google account sync makes apps and Google Drive easy to access - support until 2028 - 15 hour battery life Cons: - no internal storage, large chunk used by OS - only one USB port - no microSD slot to expand memory like you would with a phone. Slightly negated by Google cloud storage, but would love to have offline access readily available I got it on sale for $129, making this an absolute steal for my needs. Wouldn't suggest it for RAM intensive projects or gaming, but it's great for the average user willing to learn the shortcuts that replace standard windows keys.

Decent Chromebook may not be good for small kids
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the Chromebook when I bought it for my kids a couple of years ago. However, it did break and that was not due to the Chromebook but because of the kids. Will not recommend two small kids because too many drops may damage the laptop at least from my experience.

Fit for its purpose.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a low cost machine to read your email, order pizza, and browse the web, this is a perfectly useful little machine. It's a little slow, and the screen isn't super hi-res, but for the price, I'm more than satisfied. Battery lasts weeks under light use.

Lightweight and Portable Productivity Powerhouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a meat and potatoes productivity laptop then you’ve come to the right place! I’ve always had good experiences with Acer and the Kenzo Chromebook 311 is no different so far after a couple weeks. In the box you get the basics: laptop, charger, instructions/warranty/etc., and some privacy slider stickers to cover your webcam when you’re not using it. If you’ve used a Chromebook before you know that when you login you’ll be prompted to sign into Google or else make a Google account. Since I was planning to use this as an education laptop for my kids homeschooling I created a new account and it took somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes (the hardest part is finding a name that isn’t taken and also isn’t what you wanted with random numbers after it). Once you’re into the laptop proper you get the Chrome OS desktop and can begin to surf the web, shop the Play store, or adjust your wallpaper/settings. It's minimal and clean but will take some getting used to if you haven’t used anything besides Mac or Windows in a while. You won’t run games on this bad boy (emulators seem to work without issue and most of the anti-productivity game sites as well) but you’ll have access to Google Drive or any of the apps for writing, spreadsheets, picture management, etc. You’ll want to take advantage of the USB 2.0 or USB-C ports for external memory as with all Chromebooks you only get a 32gb hard drive (although it's fast!). As for other features its super lightweight, 2.2lbs according to the box and that seems right, has an 11” monitor, 4gb Ram, backlit keyboard, and a battery that’s listed as being 15 hours continual use (we’ve used it off and on for the past week without plugging it in so that also seems to be in the ballpark). It's not flashy in looks or performance but what it does it does well and it's super compact and lightweight. You’ll be able to pack this in a backpack or bag to take to school or the office without issue. You have an assignment to do, this will help you do it! You wanna see the latest memes and YouTube videos then this laptop has your back. Everything you need and then a little extra! I think you’ll be very pleased with this Chromebook if you get one as long as you don’t get it confused with a standard laptop which has onboard graphics tech to play games.

Nice device for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've really enjoyed the laptop. It's fast like other chromebooks I've had. I like the size of the screen. It makes working on this device enjoyable. No real cons to the chromebook.

Go for it. Spec's have changed - Still worth it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little disappointed, however, the price point vs value is a win win. The pictures on BB and acer showed 2 USB-C ports and a USB 3.0 port. Received mine yesterday. One USB-C and one USB, but not 3.0. At least the socket isn't blue. So I'm not sure - new to Chromebooks so I don't know how to check. I do have a USB C multi adapter that has 3.0 and others. This isn't a deal breaker that the description is innacurate. Just want people to know. Overall this is what I expected. Bought it as an inside/outside/wherever device. It's a hundred bucks. not a catastrophe if I drop it, drown it, lose it. So overall I'm more than satisfied, but not ecstatic.
