touch pad is a little "trickey". Sometimes works great & other times harder.

So glad to be off Windows. Chrome is so much more pleasant to operate. None of the hassles that Windows makes us endure.

This is my third Acer Chromebook! The Acer 317's 17 inch size is perfect for me.

Good value for the price. It is relatively light. The display is large for ease of viewing.

A little large for my granddaughter but quite nice.

Horrible experience with two defective computers. The first one had a battery issue where 100% charge - right out of the box - would only give 3-4 hours, when it should have 10 hours, per the specs. Then just a couple days later, once you unplugged it after charging it to 100%, it would suddenly go to no power (red exclamation mark). Acer said the battery was bad. . BB then sent me a replacement, and it's just as bad or worse. It sometimes shuts down right in the middle of my work. Then it refuses to turn on, taking up to 20 minutes to come back (I have deadlines to meet!). The display also turns off sometimes simply from moving the computer from one place on the desk to the other. I was told by HP tech that the battery is probably bad and that there probably is a loose wire somewhere. So this one is going back as well. I have had to waste many hours of time when I should've been working trying to figure out these extremely frustrating issues with Acer, but ultimately, there is nothing I can do but return it. I will never buy an Acer product again, and I will actually warn people about their low quality products and terrible customer service.

Bought this laptop as a graduation present for my 14 year old. HE LOVES IT!!

The whole family uses it. We all love it. It's portable.

It seemed like a decent Chromebook. Unfortunately the one I received had a defective backlit keyboard. I was tempted to open it up and fix it but since I had literally just bought it that day I decided to return it the next day.

Laptop wont hold a charge, when plugged in it states the battery is full but cannotbuse the laptop unless plugged in

Device was too slow to even run a browser and took upwards of 30 seconds to respond to any clicks and typing. It just doesn't have the hardware to even run Windows.

I bought this sight unseen since model was not available in store. I thought I ordered a light weight model but sadly this model is very heavy. It works fine but not what I expected

Decent screen and picture. Is not compatible at all with any apple phone. It wouldn’t even recognize my iPhone in Bluetooth.

For the price, this is quite good. Despite being underpowered this is my favorite laptop I've ever owned. The 17.3 in screen is oh so fantastic! If they come out with a more powerful model, I will be all over it! I really like the keyboard, I can type my usual 90 to 100 wpm on it, it's capable and feels good. Processor is pretty weak but as long as you don't try to load multiple Chrome tabs at once, it's not that noticeable. Please don't be like the other reviewer created this one star because they had no idea what they were buying. This is not a high-powered laptop, however the fact is a Chromebook means it's still quite capable. I can play Stadia on this, no problem, 1080p video no problem.
