I needed something new with a better processorfor video conferencing and working at the same time and chose this model for both the i5 core and the price. DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! A big bonus was now I could play world of warcraft with my friends, and my laptop is faster than thier desktops! logs in almost instantaneously to anything I want to do. I'm so happy with it.

A small bit of factory jank, but an OK machine

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My USB-C port has never worked right, and the clip that holds an Ethernet cord in place is pretty weak for all the fat new CAT7/CAT8 cables. Not that this thing can do 10gbps, it was just the cord that was available while troubleshooting a switch. Any, last pin on Ethernet port is gone. But I got the extended warranty, so it's all good.

The Acer Nitro was a good buy at a good price. It has a nice sized screen at 17.3" and despite it's size it is lighter than I expected. I added a second 1TB driver easily so he'd have more storage and he's been loving it. He barely ever uses his desktop at all anymore.

They say due to a manufacturing issue. Naturally also started slowing down in the last month, not great even with average games, and the further you get into the game the slower it will get..... Battery life is terrible.
