I've had this system for over a year now, and figured I'd write a review on it. For such a thin laptop, it performs well beyond my expectations. I got it for school and have been using it for long gaming sessions and it still runs like a brand new computer. It's lightweight so it can easily be taken anywhere and because of the SSD, it boots really fast. The storage isn't much but it's enough for someone who games everyday on top of doing schoolwork.

This was purchased for my 12 yr old grandson. His chrome book no longer worked. He did a search,as I had promised to purchase a gaming computer for his use,not only for gaming,but also remote schooling. So far,he is extremely happy with this unit. He said he was definitely glad with everything he has tried to do on this Acer. . He is definitely a game head,so it was important to him to own a gaming laptop with all of his preferred bells and whistles. Definitely a good buy.

Bought this for my son to use for school and gaming he love it is light loves the lighted key board and has a lot of storage

I bought this for my fiancée, to replace her Acer Aspire. She loves it. The speed and graphics are both awesome.

I have had my laptop for 1 year so far and it has served its purpose. I have to admit I failed to notice that is more of a gaming laptop than anything else but I am surprised how good it has been for work also. Is fast and I am pleased with it. I’m not a computer genius but I have enjoyed it. I have always bought my computers from Best Buy and I’ll keep on doing it for sure!!!!

This product goes above and beyond what I expected it to. It’s efficient and works great for gaming and things like school programs! The computer overall is amazing and such a fast working and efficient product! I've enjoyed using it. This is by far the best gaming and school laptop I've ever used. Would recommend 110% I've already been telling all of my friends and family about it. My friends want to get one now as well!

Extremely good price on a very powerful laptop... some say the best gaming laptop under $1k.

Firstly, I had bought a different Acer gaming laptop previously and ended up returning it. Once I got approved for a BB CC I decided to get this one. I barely had a chance to use it due to work and life, but whenever I do sit down to use it I'm immediately disappointed and put it away within probably 20 minutes of having it on. This is because it is LOUD, overheats, won't open my game(s) that I have on it. Constantly gives me pop-ups from the Xbox store(?) about things not working through there when I don't even use anything from the Xbox store. I paid about $800 for this and I regret it every single time I open it up. I regret it every time I see it sitting in its computer case because it was a HUGE waste of money. I truly don't like this laptop and wish I would've figured this out when I could've returned it. Now I'm stuck with it. Please just save up your money if you can and get something different. At this point, I'd rather have just put together a gaming PC and use that.

Great laptop! Backlit keyboard is very helpful. Screen is large enough to not cause eye strain.

Bought this as a gift for son. He loves it. Said the graphics were great and speed is great.

I am loving my new "Nitro Laptop", it's very fast and I love the size of the monitor. Quality Stuff!

Was honestly really skeptical about the red lit keyboard but found a bios setting to keep light on when plugged in and the function keys to adjust the light intensity so am settling in happily now. Display is awesome and huge. I bought this to work from home and really needed a large screen. Performance is excellent and I was able to pickup the same day I ordered it at the curbside. SO far, am super-pleased with purchase!

So far so good. The screen is clean and sharp. There is minimal lag, and it is a nice looking laptop. The only gripe I have so far is that sometimes the rear power plug doesn't connect though it is plugged in all the way...which then doesn't charge the unit. You have to be careful to check it is charging before you walk away.
