    Subcontractor couldn't program Harmony 900

    3 trips - 2 with sub-contractor - finally got real Geek squad out and they reprogrammed my Harmony 900

    The agents installed my TV and projector. They were unable to program my remotes.

    The Geek Squad had installed my televisions and a prior remote. It was great, but I still needed a separate remote for my Play Station and Apple TV. The new touch screen remote controls everything. The Geek Squad told me about a small blue tooth device that I could connect to my Play Station, then the remote could be a controller for that too. They did a very efficient job, and set everything up perfectly. They also explained everything to me.

    This remote is difficult. You almost have to be a rocket scientist to learn and know what all the buttons to push means.

    Geek squad took hours and did not complete job!

    We had a third party contractor come out. Had we known this I would have insisted on Geek Squad. The gentleman who showed up hung the tv and sound bar leaving visible wires. Told me I just going to have to live with some wires? Seriously. They placed mount partially over a plug. Harmony remote could not be set up because they could not get beyond set up. They took boxes away with model and registration numbers. So now I have to remove tv from wall to get that. It’s 82 inch. I had to figure out how to use tv on my own. Then he asked us to sign an rate his service completion form. ? In front of him when job not complete. Plus side is the guys were polite and respectful. My hdmi connection not working ? Could be the plug is bent from the tv mount? So having geek squad come back out to sync devices with harmony remote and look at connection. I do think this will be corrected but for money spent it went wrong.

    The Geek Squad was great in setting up everything, making sure everything worked, gave us instructions and made sure we understood everything before they left. They even showed us things that we didn't know on our new receiver. Everything is ready at the touch of a button!!! So great.

    The agent did not have software to program my Harmony device, so he attempted to do everything on my Dish remote. It didn't work out, so he said he come back later to finish the job. Still waiting!

    Techs do not know Universal remote

    After 3 technicians and 4 visits, my remote control was not programmed. They did not even recognize that I already had an installed antenna. Bottom line they made my situation worse!

    Harmony Universal Remote was not working at all. Geek Squad phone technician diagnosed problem as a need for re-programming. Technician arrived. Found no need for re-programming and recommended new battery. New battery did no good. Harmony Remote crapped out after a year. Need to but new remote - and re-order programming.
