    GEEK Squad cancelled and rescheduled twice

    My appointment was cancelled twice by you and rescheduled. I had no confidence that it wasn't going to be cancelled and rescheduled the third time. This was almost a month from when I originally made the first appointment. At this point I called Xfinity and they had a rep out in two days. As a result I cancelled the GEEK Squad appointment.

    Logitech Remote Continually Needs Reprogramming

    We bought a Logitech Harmony remote, and had Geek Squad program. A few weeks later the remote lost its mind, and had to be reprogrammed. Now over the last couple of days it has lost its mind again. Not complaining about Geek Squad per se, but it sucks to have a universal remote that is useless.

    I had Geek Squad program the Logitech Universal Remote because I had multiple devices. I currently do not have volume control, despite 5 phone calls and 3 emails.

      Hi, featherkuk. Thank you for having us out to set this remote up for you. I'm sorry to hear that the volume isn't working as it should. If you've been calling & emailing the Agent directly, he/she may be temporarily unavailable for some reason. I certainly regret if that's the case. We do offer a 30 day workmanship warranty on most services, so I would recommend calling 1-800-433-5778 to see about the possibility of scheduling a return visit.

    My Harmony has been reset twice by the Geek Squad and it still doesn't get the correct input (HDMI 1) during startup. I constantly have to redo as it goes to miracast instead.

    Lack of TV remote knowledge

    Wanted the tech to show us how to use one TV remote, but he said he did not know how to use remotes or program them. Was shocked to find that your techs are not crossed trained at least in this area. Very disappointed. He did not need to program it, just show us a few beginning steps plus he said we need to request that help in our order.

    Lousy job, the man was nice, but clearly does NOT like hooking up universal remotes, and because of this I cannot use it because I dont understand what I have done wrong and it does NOT work. I spent all that money on something I cannot use and I didnot call because I dont want the same person back out here. I wish I could return the item and get my money back from the geek squad. You did a lousy JOB.!!!!

    Eharmony replacement.

    The agent came out to install new remote but tried to fix the eharmony remote but did not happen. The new remote did not get installed. I discovered why rhe Bose speaker was not working and fixed it.

    Agent didn't ask any questions about what we wanted; he just setup what he though was appropriate. He made our sound system sound worse and messed up two our of zones. He blamed that on the installer and said he didn't have the scheduled time to fix it. I could go on and on. But I plan to call the store manager and have someone come out and fix everything, set it up the way we want it and explain how everything works. Horrible service!

    This service has not been completed. Why does it show as completed. This is a part of TV and receiver purchase and installation. I paid for it on 12/21/19. It was scheduled on 12/30/19. The receiver has not been delivered so universal remote control could not be programmed. No proactive communication from Best Buy. I have to keep on following up. It is now 1/11/20. I still don't know the status. I'm so disappointed.

    We used Magnolia to purchase thousands of dollars worth of TV equipment. We were advised to buy two harmony universal remotes that were very expensive. Geek squad has come twice to program them.....once we were charged. The second time we were told they basically will not work with the new Cox controllers that we have. So we just threw money down the drain. And the wait on the phone to get through to anyone at BestBuy or the Geek Squad is interminable. Get your equipment somewhere else with better service.

    The whole experience sucks. We had Geek squad install remote and sound bar. After he left we had a problem called geek squad no answer. Never did answer weeks later. If we ever get this right will never buy anything from best buy again. Would never use geek squad ever again. The whole experience was the worst ever. Bought a lot over the years at best buy. Never again.....

    Geek Squad is Broken

    When I purchased the TV, Roku, sound bar, woofer and Orbi plus the Geek Squad agreement I wanted to have the whole system working, It has now been 6 months and it doesn't stream and has messed up other equipment trying to use the router. I am hoping someone from Geek Squad will see this and save me another hour on the phone trying to schedule an appointment a month and a half from now.

    Day after I paid geek squad to program. Stopped working. "Acces not available now " Would try to go to "menu" and guide? Returned it and now am using 3 remotes with no issues.

    It took several calls to customer service to find out status. It was very time consuming. The programming on the remote stopped working after a day. I wasted the $150.

    Non Geek Squad tech disappointment

    The “tech” Best Buy sent out to set up my new Logitech TV controller was NOT a Geek Squad agent and his knowledge level clearly showed it. He spent the better part of an hour on the phone with a Logitech customer service man (Sam) having the installation explained to him. We have previously had a few other installations completed by real Geek Squad agents and I was always impressed. Unfortunately, this time was quite different.

We appreciate that you chose Geek Squad to set up your Logitech TV controller, so it's discouraging that the Agent who came out was not knowledgeable about the service. That is a far cry from the level of service we pride ourselves on, but we appreciate this feedback so we can do better going forward.

      If you do not feel the Logitech remote is set-up properly, our installations do come with a 90-day warranty. To have an Agent come out and redo the service you can call (800) GEEK-SQUAD or (800) 433-5778.

    I canceled this service after trying to program the harmony remote on my own. It takes a little time, however the Logitech harmony support is excellent! If you need any help you just email them and they will assist you and even program any features that you have difficulty programming. The you just sync the remote through the program on your computer with the included usb cable.

    I needed a simple re-programming of my Harmony remote. After the tech left, the action I needed done was done, but 2 of my other major functions had been disabled. It took 2 more trips out to fix both these problems, so in all I had to schedule 3 full visits to just 1 simple task done. and on the 3rd time, which I scheduled directly with the tech, he forgot the appt and I had to call again to remind him.
