I bought this Alienware laptop for my son and he is just ecstatic! All his friends are really impressed with it and love to play on it. I would definitely buy again.

I had an msi that broke within 3 months, got the alienware 17 and so far been very pleased. Wish the HD was a little larger for the price. Good linux support too.

This laptop looks like a top notch gaming laptop, but really its just a big, expensive, contraption that cant fit anywhere and lags for simple programs like my brothers minecraft. Broke in a COUPLE of days.

I'm a Mobile DJ. I use this computer to mix MP4 videos. I can run 2 separate projectors with videos and intense visualizations with out skipping a beat.

I am very excited about this product. Already the things this thing can do amaze me. I'm looking forward to many more valuable uses from this.

Lost my old SATA hard drive on my old computer. With the increased speed of this computer I was able to catch up my work in almost no time.

The only issue I can find since I use it with Virtual reality is I have to restart it every once in a while for the sound to kick back in.

Great laptop have not had any problems with it on games or serfing the internet. Good for a gamer and for what you get a great price.

Fresh out of the box the laptop had many BSODs. I thought it was drivers or my AV. The yesterday I came home after work to find my Laptop shut down. I also noticed the adapter plug light was off. So I unplugged the adapter power and the light comes back on when I plug it into the laptop the light shuts off. I checked on the forums and there seems to be a number of R4s that have this problem (fried MB). Trying to get Dell to fix it but I am overseas and they will not honor their warranty overseas (They did before, but as of March 13th) only local. Not happy about this laptop that has given me problems day 1.

Fast and gets the job done ive played games on it for a whole day and it dosent get hot and burn your hand it stays nice and cool

Love the laptop. Runs the oculus rift like a champ. The reason I bought it in the first place. Wish it had a few more USB ports.

We purchased this laptop for gaming on the go. It has lived up to it's purpose perfectly even on wireless there is no lag.

Cool keyboard customization, awesome graphics,and very little fan noise. A bit heavy but pays off for its long battery life.

Thought I'd save a few bucks getting a laptop that was "BestBuy Certified" which basically means they "cleaned" it. So I get it, and something seems off. Windows 10 is kinda weird (nothing to update, like it was missing parts of something). I'm a bit of a tech guy so these things didn't bother me. Come to find out, Geeksquad reinstalled Windows 10 on the large rpm harddrive, not the SSD (which is hilarious), the WIFI card was UNPLUGGED, took me like 20 minutes to figure out if a laptop could even be bought without WIFI access, NONE of the drivers were on the machine, and all that cool alienware software non-existent. I had to reinstall windows with a thumbdrive I had just made, which instantly started making everything feel better, oh and take the back cover off and PLUG IN THE WIFI adapter. I realize its an openbox, but Geeksquad, REALLY? The SSD wasn't even formatted!! It was like it wasn't even there. I also laughed when I figured out probably why the rich kid returned this laptop. If I wasn't more technically inclined, I would of returned this laptop. You guys need to step up your game. Terrible.

I never had a problem using this computer, I am so satisfied with it. My money is worth buying it.
