It is ridiculous that it has to be hooked up to parking brake.

I like it but the apple play is not wireless so your charging your phone all the time

The product is ok. My call quality sometimes turns robotic and requires me to hang up and retry. Sound quality is ok up to 30, anything greater is terribly distorted, especially if volume on phone is elevated. I wouldn't recommend this unit to anybody, as well my geek squad member had my vehicle for 5 hours, and these are still my issues.

Great sound, legendary alpine build and sound. Bit expensive but still a great unit

I think this item is talked up ,,overrated i have the most trouble with this head unit

The unit works fine. The only thing I don’t like is the Apple Play only works via a cord and I wanted something that worked wirelessly. The stereo also made a loud buzzing sound each time the key turns off and back on. Installation is also a bit different because the ground must be attached for Bluetooth to work.

I recommend it to your friend a good head unit small convenient to put in

This unit was delivered to me on 02/08/2021. I had it installed 02/18/2021. Everything functioned perfectly and sounded great until 6 days later when it turned off and wouldn't power back up. I took it back to the shop where it was installed and they checked the receiver and wiring connections. It was getting power and had a secure ground but wod not turn back on. That was one day after my return time expired. Now I have to send it off to Alpine and go without until they have made the necessary repairs.

Could not get bluetooth to work other than that everything is good

The open box unit I purchased from my local Best Buy didn’t work at all. It would not power up, the funny thing is I was gonna get them to do the install! Lol I got my money back and went elsewhere and had a great experience with a WORKING Sony floating head unit. All these years I wanted an Alpine based on reputation and quality and was highly disappointed. Now to be fair, maybe someone fried the stupid thing then returned it, but Best Buy should have tested it before they resold it.

Running IOS 13.5.1 and when I plug the usb cable into the iPhone I receive error message "This Device is not supported" after plugging and unplugging the iPhone 10 plus times it works (very annoying)! I would return this item if I could and go back to my old Alpine iva-w505.

I rarely write reviews but I had to with this radio. Background: Best Buy installed this unit in my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee which has a factory amp. This unit had awful Bluetooth calling, biggest reason I switched. the sound was very “flat”, I spent hours trying to adjust it, on top of it it was amplifying white noise even at the lowest setting, with no ability to adjust the gain. Finally the Sirius app on the unit was basic. No ability to save favorite artists or songs. Station logo or songs don’t display. Overall a underwhelming radio. Replaced it with the Kenwood DMX7706s, relatively same price on sale. What. A. Difference!!!!! This unit surpassed it everywhere. So once again, maybe it was due to my vehicle but I would not recommend this Alpine.

nice looking radio, too bad that best buy doesn’t offer warranty on their products anymore, now you have to paid extra for it, an only 15 days for return, amazon is the way to go!

Do not buy ANY car receiver even if they say it will fit your vehicle and has free installation. Bate and switch!!! Not only it took me 2 =hours to reach someone and finally make an appointment for installation, but then, after 8 agents and 2 disconnections, they tell me I'll need a few other things to be able to install it in the vehicle and that it will cost more than double what the radio did. Don't be fooled by the free installation blue tag!
