Cool new toy

Great for on-demand music and smart light control

Echo wouldn't connect to my home WiFi because I had two networks with the same SSIDs (one 2.4ghz and one 5ghz). Once I changed the name (SSID) of one of the networks, Echo connected right up and hasn't had any trouble since. Because of the WiFi issue, I took 1 star away.

First the sound from the echo is way above average, not Sono's but not far off. Second is the ability you will have to make your home a "smart" home. Echo will be able to control your lights, plugs, thermostat, garage door, sprinkler system etc. some of the random features are fun like " tell me a joke" or sing happy birthday or what is the weather like in Dubai Well worth the price.
