If you're the type of person who has an integrated Alexa environment at home, then this will be perfect for you. Otherwise, if you purchase this, you kind of forget that the echo is actually there.

Pointless

Sadly, it didn't live up to expectations. If you own an android phone this may appeal to you more as it can sent your texts. However, if you're an apple user just stick to asking siri to do things.

Could not set up or pair in vehicles.

After several attempts we determined we needed to return it and simply purchase a different streaming option for our 2 vehicles.

I have Nissan connect in my car it automatically connects to my phone. For Alexa auto to work you need WiFi. I did not know how to hook it up.

Also very tricky to get it to play thr next track. Better bot have any windows open that also prevents it from registering your voice.

Echo GARBAGE Garbage garbage

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im on my 2nd unit...The 1st went into a mobius loop...I would ask it to do something, when it heard its wake word it would start over with the same instructions and never actually finishing. the 2nd unit doesent give the weather in the desired city. For example Hamilton NJ...It gave me the weather for Mays landing NJ, Jackson NJ it gave the weather for Mays Landing. Philadelphia Pa, it gave the weather for Mays Landing . Directions from NYC to Philadelphia. NO actually it sent me to Washington DC. It does not take voice commands well in a quiet car. My phone is an LG G7...No prob there. Whats with turning the volume upto nearly max!??!!

It did not meet expectations of what a smart speaker would be like for a car. Navigation was the worst. Smart gps is better.

Would not stay connected

It connected for a while but soon lost the bluetooth connection and would not reconnect. I called support several times but they could no resolve the issue. I reset everything and tried other devices to connect but without success. I can do everything that Echo Auto provides with my Alexa app on my cell phone. I returned it and the Best Buy people were very accommodating. I give Best Buy 5 Stars.

It never works!

Worked sort of OK the first several weeks, but it hasn’t worked at all the past 1.5 weeks. I really thought it was a transmission problem, but I really believe it’s infallible hardware. Keeps saying it’s trying to sync with my phone forever or lost the network connection...try again later. THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK! Don’t waste your money. I’m glad I got this on sale! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS!
