Alexa near the shower

I can get it to play podcasts or the news too. It really gives me peace of mind that I'm not running behind schedule, so I can confidently procrastinate. I've got an echo dot in my bedroom, and it's nice being able to control either set of alarms from both places. Hardware and use-case wise, I don't have any complaints.

Cheaper alternative to echo dot

It works as good as the echo dot for my use cases: 1) Paired to a bluetooth speaker in places I want to listen to music and podcasts 2) Unpaired in rooms where it is there just for automation. Having the extra USB plug is a nice bonus

Works good as Alexa voice access point and trigger

It isn't ideal for listening to music, but works good for announcements and voice access in an area separate from an existing echo dot or show. The USB function is a nice plus to trigger plug-ins from the motion sensor to a night light.
