Love it how I straight plug it into the wall with no ugly wires perfect for when your whole house is smart but don’t have the space or place to put an echo dot like in hallways etc. but keep in mind it isn’t like the echo dot with good speakers to listen to music. It’s more for having Alexa on demand in places that you cant have the echo dot

Great Echo for tiny spaces!

My wife has gotten used to having an Echo in the kitchen to use for timers. We bought an RV and the space is extremely limited, but there are lots of plugs! This does the trick perfectly for her! The quality of sound from the built in speaker is less than ideal, but it can be connected to a bluetooth speaker, so that's not a huge issue. Great device for small spaces!

Very Good Most of the Time

I started out an Echo dot, but bought a flex because it is less expensive. It works great nearly all the time. The big difference between Flex and Dot is the speaker quality. The Dot has a noticeably better speaker. I still have privacy concerns about smart speakers, but I felt better after I found that I could bookmark the link that allows me to clear recording. Here's what my flex and dot do for me:
1. Remind me to take my medicine.
2. Quickway to set reminders for meeting and the next day. I also setup those 4 AM wake up alarms (which are different from reminders) on the fly.
3. Turn on my smart light bulbs.
4. Read my Bible to me without having to turn on lights.
5. Get weather report from the default (not very good) system, but also weather reports from the Weather Channel.
6. Play my favorite radio stations without handling the dials.
There are a lot of good uses for smart speakers, and Alexa is increasingly helpful. Because of privacy concerns, I don't share my Google calendar or my contacts. I clear Alexa's recordings from time to time.

Great Intercom Device

Very easy to set up and it's great to use as an intercom. To do that, name your flex from the Alexa app with a new name such as Flexy, and then from another Echo device, just say "Alexa Call Flexy". Answer from the other device and say "Alexa Hang Up" when done. The sound quality is weak, but that is expected. If you can get this on sale, get a few.

This is a great Alexa device to put in an area that you don’t want to take up a lot of space. Works like the larger Alexa devices . It just plugs right into the electrical outlet and doesn’t take up any counter space. The sound isn’t as good as the larger devices but it works great. It is connect to your WiFi

Inexpensive addition to alexa system for a large home. This isn't great for listening too the v speaker but Its great for helping alexa to listen to you throughout your home. Put one in a long hallway for extra commands and also put them in rooms to create an intercom system in home. If you want lots of music get an echo dot or more

These slick, little Echo Flex units are perfect in a garage or bathroom to catch up on the news, listen to music (can be paired with a Bluetooth speaker), or command any of your networked devices. They are easy to add to your device collection as well. I ordered the light attachment for one which is color-programmable.

Does the job well. For having a small speaker, it gives out good sound. Not the loudest, but it's enough for the small price tag. It also has the ability to pair it with a better Bluetooth speaker. I use it this product to listen to music in a small room or catch up to the news and weather. Overall a good buy.

This is a cool tool! Not as complete as a Dot or Other Echoes, just a simple way to utilize Alexa when speaker quality is not an issue. I have linked my Flex with a Bluetooth speaker, so that isn’t even a concern. Really an incredible device, especially when the price is taken into consideration.

This little gadget is great addition to my Alexa system. I have one of these echo flex in my bathroom and one in my garage. They are nice because there is no cords and it serves as a great input device for me in certain locations. The speakers in it are just powerful enough to be heard but I wouldn’t necessarily play music through them.

I put this in the kitchen and it works well for its purpose. The sound quality is mediocre and don't expect to listen to high quality music from it, but it serves the purpose as a smart speaker and it's cheap. Overall, it's a bargain if you can buy it with some discounts.

This is a genius device that extends Amazon Alexa integration throughout the household. I purchased an Echo Dot to set up at my parents and supplemented it with the Flex. The 3rd generation Dot (with far better speakers than the 4th gen Dot, and of course better than the Flex) sits in their kitchen/family room where they can easily hear weather, news, and music.
The Flex is nearby so that they can come home late at night and activate the lights from across the room without having to turn on the entry lights, going to the family room, then going back to the entry way to turn off those lights.
The sound is passable. You won't be using this to as the main device to play music, though you can if you really wanted to. I have one set up in the bathroom and get the early news and weather while dressing, and for being able to turn off lights downstairs once I'm already upstairs.
There are some neat add-ons as well, though they're pretty pricey. I got the Flex on sale and am happy with it.

Some may complain the size and loudness of the speaker wasn’t enough, I think differently. For the price and convenience of an extension to Alexa throughout the smaller rooms in the house, highly economical and meets convenience and quality. Easily connects to another speaker if needed.

Nice and small smart speaker that is very unobtrusive. Simple set it and forget it. Perfect for someone who needs a speaker to execute commands but they do not need a loud speaker. Its nice that you also do not take up table space

I've read a lot of reviews talking about the poor speaker quality. Granted it's no Sonos or even a regular Echo speaker. But it's much better than I was expecting. Perfect for the bathroom or other small spaces. Pair it with a Bluetooth speaker and it's a non issue. It's a keeper.

I use one of these in almost every room of the house. Everything is hooked up with the echo show. This makes communicating across devices easy. Easily check the weather, time and play music from any room. Turn on lights etc. Sound quality isn’t great but it gets the job done.

i love these little beauties...
i bought three of them... i put one in my master closet, so as I am getting dressed, it provides my daily news briefings... I put one in my patio and connected a sensor to it so each time after it get's dark, and i step into the patio it turns on my Lifx smart light without me having to find the switch.. and turns it off after 5 minutes of inactivity. and the last one i put in my mediation room with another sensor... since i don't go into this room very often... when i do, the echo flex says, "welcome to your meditation room, my queen" and turns on the Lifx smart lights. Each Echo flex also lets me know when someone is walking near or on my drive way... there is so many things you can use these for it is amazing. The speakers are small, however, you can Bluetooth them to another speaker or use the auxiliary port. Best buy for under $10 bucks. i would buy more, but just need to figure where i would put them.

I mainly got this to use for Alexa Drop-in as an intercom, but the microphone array on it is not as good as an Echo Dot. You are unable to hear the person speaking into it, unless you are very close to it. Other than that, its a great device.

We put this in the bathroom. It works great. We haven't hooked up any accessories so I can't speak to that. The built-in speaker is tinny so you should add an extension speaker. It has a jack for that and a USB port for an excessory or for power. Well worth the very low holiday price we paid.

Very convenient Alexa device to place in areas like the entrance or bathroom. The speaker isn’t the best compared to the other Alexa devices but it is still very functional to control any smart device in your home or interact with her on any other way.
