Alexa isca great ENTAINMENT tool and it is also alot of fun when you have company over and it gives out alot of history when asked, differently a must for homes and fun!

I was reluctant to purchase the Echo Plus and my best friend said to do it, you will love it! I did and she was so right! The Philips Hue light bulb was an added bonus and love that too!

Alexa is great. The reason I purchased this was to control my Hue bulbs. It works well for that function, mostly. It's a little quirky and doesn't always work as smoothly as hoped. I too often hear things like "i do not know how to turn on living room lights" or "I do not know change living room to violet".

I was a bit reluctant to jump on the Alexa wagon, but now that I have, I don’t know why! This is awesome. Still figuring out all the things I can do but only because there are so many!

I love the Alexa. It has encouraged me to automate my home. Now I have lighting that comes on when I ask, My heat is controlled wherever I am and it's fun asking her (Alexa) questions.

Alexa doesn't seem to know too much when you ask Google it knows everything

This has got to be one of the best "no-brainer" products to buy. Having the Amazon Alexa around has made it possible to vocalize my house lights, get flash news updates and much more!

My first generation Echo suddenly gave me intermittent service, and I upgraded to the newer model under the extended warranty. Works beautifully, and I use it every day!

Can do a better job. May be after few releases this product can get better

If you want to get your feet wet into the home automation realm, this is a great starter pack. Adding Alexa and the hue to your home are both great additions.. My family loves ours

Decided to go for the model just below this one. I didn't need the integrated "hub" features. (Phillips Hue does require this, but I decided to stick with my current Insteon hub).

The device is handy and useful in quite a few way - take the time to learn all it can do. It took my wife and I a while to get it set up but once it is - it's fun to have around. This thing does seem to be subscription service heavy to use some of the features, even if you already have Prime.

I use the Alexa function to control nearly all of the devices in my home. I can also control the Zwave devices through the SmartThings add on in the Alexa app.

Have used the Echo Plus for the past year and although it's fun, the speakers are not that great for moderate to loud music. Recent issues about privacy/Amazon makes us a little leery of leaving it plugged in or having it in a central location. Can you hear me now???

I have the original Alexa and love this little gadget that I bought this for my brother for. Christmas and he too loves it. I definitely recommend this item

Surprisingly entertaining, and a diverse selection of apps make for a fun addition to the house. Adding lights and enabled plugs adds to the fun and practicality as well.

As any electronic device you have to take a minute to explore the settings and set it up, but once you do, there are a lot of fun features that comes along with Alexa!

Pretty cool product.Features are limited unless you spend a lot more money buying other things you can connect and interface with. But the basic unit with one lightbulb is a pretty good start. Just know going into it that you will be shelling out a lot more to expand the system.

For someone who has walking disabilities, this is a wonderful asset !! I control lights, locks, temperature, etc. The drawback, is my Rheem hot water heater I get it to show on my Alexa app, but doesn't show anything but blank screen, no way to adjust unit ???
