It is very customizable to fit your needs, and the routines really help you get the most out of it. I like that you can customize the brightness (and color - to red) at night so that it is not so bright when you are trying to sleep. There is definitely a learning curve, but once you have it down, it is very useful. Sound quality is pretty good as well.

Echo show 5 is fun for the household

It's perfect for setting up in your bedroom or office room and you can use it to sync up with the rest of your family members in the household if they have one in their rooms as well. Also, you can sync it up with your rinf device answer your front door with it. I highly recommend this device for your home!

Great to check on elderly loved ones.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We have the Echo 10 and the Echo 8 - bought this 5 for my dad who was in a skilled nursing facility across the country and was miserable. He had the 10 at home and kept telling us he missed it. It was great because he used it all of the time to play music and sometimes watched a movie. Also great for us to be able to see him and interact with his care givers. If you are only going to have one device-definitely get at least the 8 - but this is a great extra one. We plan to put it in the bedroom when he gets home and leave the 10 in the living room.

Did not work with a puppy but stiil a great buy!

Bought this to keep in touch with my puppy while I was away. Unfortunately, my puppy does not respond to my video call but would rather see me in person. However, because I got it at a really good sale price from Best Buy, I decided to keep it and will use it to keep in touch with my grandchildren.
