See your day clearly with the All-new Echo Show 5 and Alexa at the ready - Set alarms and timers, check your calendar or the news, make video calls with the 2 MP camera, and stream music or shows—all with your voice.
A: Hello, Nan60! The main difference is the upgraded camera on the device. The camera is now a 2 MP vs a 1 MP camera. The other differences are the ability to look in while you are away with the built-in camera and the ability to control compatible smart home devices with your motion. Have a great day!
A: BandMom, I'd love to help with your question! The Echo Show 5 comes with Alexa enabled, but you can press the mute button on top of the device if you would like to disable voice commands, and stop Alexa from listening. To view your Ring video feeds, without using voice commands through Alexa, you can open up your devices list and select your Ring Video Camera by following these steps: 1. Swipe inward from the right side of your Echo Show's screen. If you tap on your screen, you'll see a little arrow appear on the right side of the screen to help you decide where to swipe. 2. Select Smart Home from the list of icons. 3. Find your Ring Video Camera in your list of devices and click on it to display the camera footage. I hope this helped answer your question, have an amazing day!
Q: Does the Echo Show 5 (2nd gen) work with ring doorbell & floodlights?
A: Hi ET2021, The Echo Show 5 does work with the Ring Doorbell & Floodligths. Before starting, you'll need to download Amazon's Alexa app, if you haven't already done so 1. Open Alexa. In the upper left-hand corner, you'll see three horizontal bars. Tap them. 2. In the menu that appears, tap Skills & Games. 3. On the next screen, search for Ring in the search box. 4. After you've found Ring, tap the "enable" button. 5. Next, Alexa will ask you to sign in to your Ring account. Doing so will link your Ring account to your Alexa account. 6. After signing in, you'll be asked to discover devices. Tap the Discover Devices button. All of your 7. Ring devices should appear and be connected to Alexa automatically. If you don't want Alexa to integrate with a particular Ring device, simply tap Forget on the right side. Thank you

January 20, 2023 On December 13, 2022, Best Buy had sent me a membership additional discount link to which, I had purchased the “Ring Video Doorbell” in a venetian bronze, and the “Amazon Echo Show 5” (2nd Generation release) smart display device. In which, I had purchased an additional Ring “Doorbell mount” from Amazon; in order to mount my purchased Best Buy’s Ring Video Doorbell without using any nails or drill to mount it nor does the doorbell mount damage my rental apartment door that is wireless connected to my Amazon Echo Show 5. And, the Ring Video Doorbell and the Amazon Echo Show 5 were extremely easy to setup by ways of following the read or voice prompt messages. My only regret is I wish, I had purchased a larger size Amazon Echo Show from Best Buy such as, the Amazon – Echo Show 15 (Full HD 15.6) or the Amazon – Echo Show 10 (3rd Generation) because my Amazon Echo Show 5’s screen is the size of a cellular phone screen, the Amazon Echo Show 5 is sometime difficult to see from a smaller screen size. The Ring Video Doorbell, and Amazon Echo Show 5, I had purchased from Best Buy comprehensively work well with one another for which provide me with an extra safety measure security, while I am living in the apartment unit. For example, if any person passes by my Ring Video Doorbell from the common area of my apartment building floor, then the Amazon Echo Show 5 will send me a voice notifications, as well as a videos images. Also, I can talk to the person standing in front of my apartment Ring Video Doorbell from my apartment building common area through my Amazon Echo Show 5 instead of using the small door peephole. I absolutely love my Ring Video Doorbell and Amazon Echo Show 5’s Best Buy purchased that provide me with an extra safety measure security and I would recommend both the Ring Video Doorbell and Amazon Echo Show 5 for any person who are living in a[n] apartment building, dorm or sharing a living space with another person. If you want to purchase the Doorbell mount from Amazon here is the product detail information: DG-Direct Anti-Theft Doorbell Mount, Video Doorbell Door Mount for Home Apartment Office Room Renters, Fit for Most Kind Brand of Video Doorbell (Black).

Actually kinda love it, big enough screen for you to see what you need to see even at a distance. love how it dims the lights at night cause i’m one of them people who hates just a tiny bit of light trying to sleep. love that it has a built in camera so i can watch my dogs lol and also has a little switch to turn the camera off so no one can watch you lol

Love this device. Been using it as my alarm clock. Sound is good for a smaller Alexa. Try and pick one up on sale.
