They like how easy it is to use and the size makes it perfect to place on the nightstand. The sound is good as well as the video quality. It is a shame that this wasn't as popular as it could have been because it works well and then some :). It is a perfect stocking stuffer.

It is very customizable to fit your needs, and the routines really help you get the most out of it. I like that you can customize the brightness (and color - to red) at night so that it is not so bright when you are trying to sleep. There is definitely a learning curve, but once you have it down, it is very useful. Sound quality is pretty good as well.

Echo Show 5 - lights the way to the bathroom

Awesome even if you just use it for a clock and weather. I use it to control a wifi bulb... in the middle of the night, I don't have to grope around for a lamp, I just say Alexa turn on light and I can see to go to the bathroom... worth it for just that simple action.
