It’s a good unit and can be connected to Our Ring system. Today, it asked if we needed help ordering anything. I was glad our kids weren’t home.

Works well as a speaker which is a bonus. Everything in our home is a smart device so definitely should’ve gotten these years ago

Posted .Hello Andrew! I am so sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the Echo Show 5. That's definitely not the experience we want any of our customers to be having with this device and not the experience that most customers have with it. You may need to try a few troubleshooting methods to see if it helps and then you can contact Amazon Customer Support for further assistance. One step you can do is swipe down from the top, go to Settings, then go to Device Options, then swipe until you see either Install Update or Check for Updates. If there is an update that it is stuck on or needing, this may help solve your problem. Another step you can take is you can try power cycling the device by pressing and holding the Mute button then tap Power Off. Then press and hold the same button until you see the Amazon logo. Another way you can power cycle it, is simply unplug it and plug it back in after 30 seconds. If none of this works, I would call 888.280.4331 for Amazon Customer Support for further assistance. I hope this gives you a better experience and that you have an awesome day!
