The alarms dont work which is has me waking uo so mad i want to take it to the shooting range! Why is there a LOUD beep before the alarm starts? Why does it only play 3 seconds of the song. When you tell off she doesnt listen. It is a teenager! And now im stuck with it because i cant return it. Dont waste your money!

I completely understand your frustration—waking up to a malfunctioning alarm is incredibly disruptive, and it's disappointing when a replacement doesn't live up to the original.
The issues you're describing with the loud beep before the alarm, the song only playing for 3 seconds, and Alexa not responding to your commands are definitely not normal behavior. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help:
Alarm Settings: Open the Alexa app, go to Devices > Echo & Alexa > your Echo Show 5 > Sounds, and check your alarm sound settings. You can also try setting a new alarm directly through the app to see if that resolves the playback issue.
Voice Recognition: Go to Settings on your Echo Show 5 > Device Options > Wake Word, and retrain Alexa to recognize your voice. Sometimes recalibration helps with responsiveness.
Software Update: Check if your device needs a software update by going to Settings > Device Options > Check for Software Updates.
Factory Reset: If the above steps don't work, try a factory reset (Settings > Device Options > Reset to Factory Defaults). This often resolves persistent software glitches.
