The second generation of the Echo Show 8 has some improvements over the first generation. The first and most important is the 13 Megapixel camera which is a huge step up compared with the 1 Megapixel camera from the first generation and the whole system is a little bit faster with a better processor. The secong generation lost the 3.5mm jack which is a drawback. The rest remains the same.

We’ve had this for a little over a month now. We watch videos me make calls with this and have not even began to utilize all its features. Very fun little device to have.

Great for regular day use. Etc alarm clock, playing stream music and podcasts. Initial setup was okay. Linking up wireless cameras was a bit tricky, needs to to better especially with blink cameras and doorbell. I think linking blink should be more easier than the other cameras. Video calling needs to easier especially if its one echo hub to another. I don’t know if they can video call to iPhone or android yet. But hoping it will work and streamline process to.

Love this thing. I’m still figuring out all of the features but this is a major upgrade from the echo dot I originally had. So much to do on here and I especially love the personalized photo display option. I ended up purchasing one for my mother in law for this specific reason as I was looking to get her a digital frame for Christmas. This is a digital frame and SO much more, so obviously a much better choice. If you enjoy using Alexa, then I definitely recommend this!

Nice central display hub for our new house. Setup is super painless and integrates well with our Amazon tv. Sale price was hard to beat.

Great add on smart device to the house. Kids love setting timers and asking it for jokes. Great for cooking (seeing recipe or watching tv)

Use it for music and also home surveillance. Love the easy to use screen for setup and web calls. Love the drop in function. Video cam does take a bit to focus in for drop in and speaker quality is loud but not as good as other Amazon speakers or similar products.

I love it. I use it in my bedroom. I have it connected to a smart plug. It controls my lights. I watch movies on it and listen to my playlists.

I have several Echo units throughout my house! Great sound in every room and to be able to control all in any room is fantastic! Great product and I highly recommend the Amazon Echo Show 8 (2nd) Gen. Great sound too!

I love this gadget so much. The wide screen and connectivity to my other smart devices provides amazing experience.

Love the larger screen to show photos and easier to read. Not ok large to take up a lot of space

Daughter loves this too, along with the doorbell, gives her flexibility, and her 2 yr old is learning to say Alexa! Nice bigger screen!!

Part as a Christmas present for a friend. She loves it. She says it’s perfect in her room. Very good quality.

We love our Show 8: very entertaining, especially the slideshow of assignable pictures, the various capabilities and the quality. Hopefully the expected years of reliability will make it an even better investment.
