Having the visual display is very convenient for things like timers. I have the Echo Spot in my kitchen for the primary purpose of timers while cooking, as well as controlling things like music while I work in the kitchen. It works perfectly for my needs

I have the older model and getting the updated model with the display is major. I can easily glimpse at the time being that I do not have a clock. It does all that it is supposed to do!
