Here are some troubleshooting steps to help address the battery and charging issues you're experiencing:
1. Check Your Charging Cable and Adapter
Try using a different USB-C cable and power adapter to rule out a faulty charger. Even cables that look fine can develop internal breaks over time.
Make sure you're using the original Amazon 5W power adapter or a compatible charger. Third-party chargers may not deliver adequate power.
Inspect the charging port on the tablet for any debris or lint and gently clean it if needed.
2. Perform a Hard Restart
Press and hold the power button for 40 seconds until the device restarts. This can clear temporary software issues that may be affecting battery performance.
3. Check for Background Apps Draining the Battery
Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Manage All Applications and close any apps running in the background that you're not actively using.
Reduce screen brightness and turn off Wi-Fi when not in use to conserve battery life.
4. Check for Software Updates
Swipe down from the top of the screen, tap Settings > Device Options > System Updates to ensure your Fire HD 10 is running the latest software. Updates can include battery optimization improvements.
5. Factory Reset as a Last Resort

Kindle not great for playing Taonga Farm

I would like to share that Amazon does have a device that you may find beneficial. The Echo Hub was recently released and will connect you to most major smart home security cameras, as well as control many other smart home devices.
