This is my 4th Kindle, and the worst so far. It randomly locks up and require a restart to do anything. I've probably had to do this a dozen times in the last week. It's going back if they'll take it.

These tablets were a GREAT buy & the kids LOVE them!

I have really enjoyed my kindle. I can get library books downloaded on it.

Bought this for my son to play games and watch YouTube videos. Ads alway pop-up which he doesn't like. It's pretty cheap so I guess it's worth the money but he wants something different.

This is a replacement for the Fire that pooped out after half a year. Good enough for very basic tableting use. Probably won’t replace when this one dies.

Content purchases are vague as to costs and subscriptions......can’t recommend until purchase experiences match alerts and/or advertising from Amazon

Admittedly I have been a Kindle fan since the original e-reader launched in 2010. With this latest addition to the Fire family, however, Amazon has set the bar high! This tablet really is my dream come true. Even with the addition of my charcoal grey case (see my other review for details), total carrying weight is less than you'd expect. Finally, they've added what Fire devices have been sorely lacking for the past couple years: a true HD rear facing camera and the ability to expand storage with an SD card! With these additions, this really is the perfect device, easily giving the iPad Mini a run for its money! The color pops out at you and is bright, movies and shows are gorgeous, the speakers are decent for a device of this caliber with Dolby surround built in, though I do recommend buying a Bluetooth set if you're a die hard cinephile like me. If I had to pick a complaint, the only, and I stress ONLY thing would be the (relatively speaking) limited selection of Apps in their Appstore. But keep in mind, that's the only negative. This is very much a "consumer based" tablet; that is, it's designed for you to stream movies, social media it up and of course take advantage of a Prime membership to literally read until the Second Coming! If I haven't scared you away yet, bottom line: An amazing device for an equally amazing price! Worth every penny and then some! Put it this way: literally the only differences between this and their 10 inch model that just dropped in October (besides price, obviously) are barely better resolution and screen size. No joke. That's it. All of this and I haven't even mentioned all that you're able to do with Alexa, and members only goodies through Amazon Prime. So what are you waiting for?! Online or in the building, don't wait to get your hands on the all kinds of pun intended hottest tablet on the market to date! You will not be disappointed, I promise you that!

Returned within a week, did not like it. I didn't care for the ads every time I turned the tablet on.

Not used to the interface. Will need a lot of getting used to. Eventually back to using my ipad...

Bought this but returned it because it didn’t have much apps. Opted for an Apple IPad instead.

I bought four fire tablets and each of them stopped charging immediately after the purchase. I wrote to Best Buy detailing the problem with the tablets and the fact I did not have insurance or the boxes to return the item. No response. Disappointed because I have made major and multiple purchases with this company. Won't make any more purchases from Best Buy.
