my second kindle and i love it!

Holds lots of apps, social media and email. I read my books while riding the bus to work. Lightweight and compact. Ordering books is super easy. Just wish the camera went both ways

Great for "mirroring" to my TV!

We had recently bought an Amazon Fire Stick, and our old Kindle would not mirror. After downloading the appropriate apps, most of the shows we wanted to watch are streamed and mirrored to the TV. It is also great for reading e-books, browsing the Internet, taking pictures and all the other things that a Kindle does.

Overall she's very happy with the HDX, but two things that bother her are: You can delete items from your carousel, but they eventually return on their own. Also, it's not possible to search for authors by the first letter. For instance, searching for "Wurthington" means that you have to scroll through the whole alphabet to get to the W's. So far, that's it. My wife hardly puts the thing down, and it's been reliable so far. My only worry is the charging jack. Being a mini USB it seems very prone to damage. Coming from 2 broken HD's that this happened to, I don't think I'm exaggerating!

Good tablet

My fiancee watches netflix constantly on it and loves it. She also uses it for facebook and web browsing. We have had to return a few though due to a strange glitch causing half the screen flash while watching Netflix. I am hoping that does not happen again. However, she loves her Kindle!

I have different apps of my faith so I can take it with me instead of several books which is very handy for someone in a wheelchair and very little space to store & carry almost anything!!!
