We bought kindle for 8 yr. old son and he loves the games but I love the books that can be downloaded that have text as well as audio so he can follow along with the book being read which his teacher tells me will increase his fluency.

I bought one to replace both my daughters and my original kindle. Mine had been replaced twice & right before Christmas my daughters died. Best Buy had a great sale & even though we used the others everyday, this one is so much nicer. The picture quality is amazing & I love that this one keeps your place where you were during reading the sample when you buy the book afterwards.

Bought this for my daughter and she loves it. The screen is very simple to understand. She loves the screen quality and sound. Easy to handle.

looking for a tablet for my ADHD 9 year old. this really seems to fit him well. a little cumbersome to navigate (i'm a little too used to my android, I think), but the ability to use parental controls are fantastic on this.

I bought this amazon kindle for my 7yr old daughter and she loves it. It has parent controls that are convenient. Also it is easy to use.

My mom was getting tired of her desktop computer so my brothers and I suggested she try a tablet. She is really enjoying it and that is saying a lot because she is not comfortable with technology. She is an artist and has been using it for watercolor technique videos on youtube and loves it.

Great easy to use and easy to take with you but I don't like that it will only work with wifi

I purchased the kindle fire hdx for my son he can download books and different games. He loves it!

Good color, easy to hold ... just like falling asleep with a book. Functions are awesome. On-off switch hard to get to , if in a protective case. It is my second kindle, and I found the down-loading soooo easy. Bought this one because it has a camera...bould like a lens on both sides of unit so I can take pictures of others and see what the pic is...

Bought the Kindle Fire primarily for a reader/book capability. Terrific resolution. Pleasantly surprised to get the other features as well, although I hav not yet figured out how to use the camera other than taking selfless.

My grandson just celebrated his 9th birthday and we upgraded his old Kindle.........he loves the graphics and enjoys playing with it very much!

It is better than the HD because of the location of the charge connection (it was located on the bottom so if you were holding it the plug would have constant pressure on it, cause it to become unchargeable). One of the downsides is it does not have a good filter for the internet (my 13 year old son plays it). You also have to pay for the "free time" option. The picture is clear and runs very smooth. I do wish the charging cord that comes with it would have a right angle at the end like the ones on display at best buy.

So far, I love my Kindle Fire HDX. It's very easy to read in the screen. I love the convenience of the power and volume control buttons.

This is a great product. I was able to use it right out of the box and I had been wondering about all my previous purchased books - but they downloaded onto the new product immediately. The wi fi is wonderful. I only wish I had gotten one with more gigs, as I LOVE my books and games!

My son loves this, his great learning apps for him. I love it because it's easier and lighter to use than the laptop when at school.

This kindle is more of a gamer kindle but still has all the fun stuff. You can read, watch tv or movies, play games, listen to books or music, surf the web. But you only have WiFi so your limited on what you can do when your traveling, or just away from your home. There is a camera in front, but not in back and there is dual speakers for extra enjoyment. Overall a wonderful investment, for my family!!
