The Reader has additional features which I do like and the keyboard and online features are easier to use and visually brighter.

Great device for reading and playing games

I can download lots of free apps (games) and sometimes free or very inexpensive books (a full novel for a dollar! Now that is value!). I did purchase a very good, thick case that keeps the delicate device safe and secure. If you are a first time buyer of a Kindle, I would recommend the 16 GB with a nice case and a stylus. I've had this for almost two months and have enjoyed it everyday.

Love my Kindle Fire HDX!

This one is even better! My only complaint is that it goes through battery life quickly. I followed suggestions and turned off my wifi at night when I wasn't using it, but it takes FOREVER to turn it back on. So, I gave up on doing that and just leave it on the charger all night as I sleep. I'm so glad that I bought this!!!
