I think this is a good product for people in school.

Great Tablet, Love it, Battery life could be better

I purchased this back in May, wrote the help-line for assistance but no answer. Where's the warrentee and is it still protected

Was disappointed that assistant that helped us choose which Kindle to get said the one we getting his model has front and rear camera and it does not ..not too thrilled with the user guide either

My son loves it! Uses it every day for internet, texting, you tube, music, etc. He was especially happy that it has front-facing camera.

Used to read books, is there a way to separate books.? Some I have read, some not liked. Getting used to on-line features since we were not close to wi-fi carriers.

I bought his as a gift for my husband and we returned it once we found out that you had to pay $15 to not have ads on the lock screen.

I would of really liked the paperwhite background to be an option along with the HD, the glare makes it hard to read in the sun

I love it and am trying to figure out some of the features that it can do as opposed to my boring old regular Kindle.

I gave it 3 star due to i only use it for reading not much else. But you can use it for much more.

I do like reading with this equipment but not sure about surfing the Internet. The kids like to read using this.

Think everyone should have one. After purchasing one I went back and got a second one for my daughter.

I FOUND IT VERY ANNOYING WHEN I HAVE TO GET INSTRUCTIONS AND HAVE TO LEAVE THE PROGRAM TO GET THEM AND REMEMBER THEM WHEN I RETURN TO MY PROGRAM. IT WOULD BE MUCH BETTER IF THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE ON A HARD COPY.

As I stated before I wish it had a manual to read and reference when needed.

My kids had first generation kindles and literally wore them out until the batteries wouldn't charge anymore. My two girls went over to the "i" tablets, my sons to Nexus. I really missed the Kindles for one main reason - Amazon Instant Video. My girls could use the app on their "i" product, but I didn't want to pay the huge premium price. This was on sale and I got the version that displays advertisements. Some day I'll pay the xtra $15 and turn the adds off, but it only displays an ad when you wake the tablet up so it's not a big deal. I love the HDX. Coming from 1st generation, this is revolutionary. Silk browser works great. Pay the xtra, get the HDX. You have a 2X faster processor. Makes modern webpages load in a snap, and Amazon Video HD is beautiful. If you don't mind the custom OS, this is a DEAL!!!

I had my kindle fire 8.9 for a week & already freezing

I am glad you ask me to rate. I have tried and others have tried. The wifi function and general set up tools are slow and do not work properly. What do I do.....

This tablet lacks power and speed. The processor needs to be updated.

As soon as I can find a sucker to off load this piece OF junk I will be buying an IPad well work it money I guess it's what happens when you don't do research on product I'll never buy amazon kindle again
