I have always been old school when it came to reading. I have always liked having an actual book in hand so this made me skeptical about the Kindle. I am here to tell you I would never go back to regular books. The ease of access and compact size is such a great feature. It is almost like having a tablet. You can do so much like surf the web and buy your books as well as play games. I love it and would recommend it 100 times over.

For a basic tablet, one can hardly do better then Amazon's flagship tablet. Simple to use, it's a stable and secure platform to browse the internet. The speakers are pretty good as well. Great for streaming audio and such. Still, Amazon needs to ante up on/bulk up its app store.

I can't live without my kindle. I upgraded to the hdx and love it more. Easy to use, can send items to my home printer with ease. And I love the best buy protection plan.

This is a good tablet. I like the size and weight, but I wish it had a rear facing camera like the larger version. I use it mostly for reading books and listening to music. It pauses sometimes when I stream videos - I don't know if it's the tablet or my wi-fi.

My father uses it all the time. It was the perfect size and the right processor and picture quality a guy could ask for.

The Kindle Fire HDX is a great tablet and e-reader. It has a very sharp, clear beautiful display. Reading is easy in any setting except direct sunlight. If you are looking for a general use Android tablet, there are probably some better choices available. However, if you want a full-featured e-reader that is great for books, but also give you access to a rich world of other content, the HDX is hard to beat. It is fully integrated with all the Amazon offerings, such as Amazon Instant Video. As an Amazon Prime member, you have unlimited free access to thousands of movies and television shows. You can also "borrow" one book per month from the Kindle Owners Lending Library. The HDX gives you access to thousands of Android apps, but not all of them. If the Android apps are your top priority, you may prefer the Samsung Galaxy Tab or Google Nexus. I considered buying one of them, but ultimately chose the HDX because of the wealth of content available from Amazon.

Gift was greatly appreciated and is used a lot. It was easy to set up for wifi use and downloading Amazon books was flawless.

I love my tablet. Movie watching, email, surfing the web, reading books. It does it all. Easy to use that's why I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it.

Bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it. She had a nook but the kindles are so much faster and more up to date

This is my 4th personal Kindle Fire, all members of my family from the 4yr old to the 53yr love it and use it daily!

This tablet is a great value for the price. Very pleased with the size, portability and display. Highly recommended.

This is the perfect substitute for an ipad for kids, firm believer that they do not need that much electronics.... My son got it as a gift, plays his games, and searches web when needed not much else used for but then again not needed for much more for a boy

I have a basic Kindle that I love but I really love the Fire. It's so easy to use and so transportable ! I love all of it's capabilities and that it's in color!

I bought this fire tablet for my 7yr old daughter and she cant put it down. It is user friendly and kid friendly.

Purchased for my wife. It is good tablet for a great price. My wife is very happy and then, of course, so am I.

I've had a kindle for about 3 years and opted to upgrade so my kids could use the old one. I love the new one!

I got this for my girlfriend as a gift and she LOVES it! She had an older model and was always using her phone to read and play games. We found this one and thought it was a nicer size compared to the lager models. She doesn't put it down!

i like the upgrades on this new product, took me awhile to switch from the first generation. the only downside is that i had to pay a $15 fee to turn off ads. very clean screen which makes reading easier. very light and i the magnetic case(s) are a big improvement as opposed to trial and error taping on screen protection which accumulates lots of air bubbles before completing this installation.

I had the original Kindle when it first came out...It died on me and I knew I couldn't live without my Kindle. I am extremely happy with my Kindle Fire!

I love it! I don't use it to download millions of apps or as a substitute for my laptop. I use it to 1. Read 2. Play a few games 3. Watch videos. I especially love that HBO Go is now on Prime and I can download episodes from my shows to watch even when I'm offline! The battery life is horrible though so be prepared to carry a charger wherever you go. Other than that, I have no complaints!
