Bought the Kindle for my husband ha can now get the books he wants for a fraction of the price he would order them in book form and have them instantly.

For the money nice unit more than enough features for me like picture quality. Best Buy sales person said HDX much better he was right glad I upgraded.

Love the screen size. This kindle is easy to use. Glad I bought it. Best Buy even price matched for me.

I previously had the Kindle Fire HD 7". I like the HDX much better because it is a little lighter, faster and easier to navigate. The screen is a little too reflective for my taste but this could be resolved with a matte screen protector. Also not many options for cases. I tried the RooCase and Amazon origami cases and did not like either so right now using without a case.

Overall this is a great product. This is the second unit I have for both of my kids. The graphics and processing speed are very good. Watching movies, games, YouTube, music all are top notch for half the price of an iPad. The only issue I have is WiFi connection is a little wonky at times. I use the Otterbox case on both for protection, which may have something to do with it.

The kindle is so easy to set up. Took no time at all. The library overdrive app is awesome. Love it!

Like the speed and clarity for email , games, Facebook. Also enjoy reading books that I download.

Great product, compact, battery last long time, light

My three year old toddler enjoys the tablet. I was able to set up his own profile. As he gets older, I can add more age appropriate apps.

I love it. This is my second kindle and I couldn't be more pleased. The camera is just ok. I manly use it to read and play games. It has great sound as well. It's much cheaper then other tablets. Well worth the money. $199. I just can't say enough about my kindle fire. Very happy girl.

My wife surprised me with a new kindle after my galaxy 7 tablet experienced a few wear and tear moments. First, I found the display of the kindle to be really vivid and dynamic, and felt really balanced in my hand. Secondly, had to have a camera, the kindle gave me exactly what I wanted. Thirdly, it was on sale at best buy, so that was a benefit my wife couldn't pass on. Two items that i'm a little bummed is that the on/off button and the volume control are on the backside of the device. and since I use a cover to protect my kindle, it's necessary to remove from said cover to use these controls. But I give it 5 stars!

I am getting used to the power button. I think I liked it better on the bottom but otherwise it great. Picture quality is really good.

I originally had a 1st gen. Kindle Fire and loved it until it couldn’t keep up speed wise when browsing the internet. I then bought the Kindle Fire HDX 7” and couldn’t believe how much faster it is. I don’t run into any online slowdowns now. It works great and has a beautiful display.

easy to use, does everything she needs it to do. good quality

I bought this for my daughter who is an avid reader. She absolutely loves it and is already burning through books on it. My only real complaint is where the power button is located. It's in the back of the device which may be hard to reach if you have a case on it. But that's just me. It may not bother most. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a tablet and isn't interested in the high cost of an iPad.

Bought this for someone who's not into technical details but she has no problems using the Kindle. Very nice screen. Wish it had more memory or an SD card slot.

These Kindles are everything one needs in a tablet for a fraction of the price of other tablets. Great graphics too. My kids love them.

I bought this Kindle Fire for my grandma, but I have one also. I originally got it because I wanted to read all the free books I was getting from Amazon. I still read books on it, but I mostly use it as a tablet to search the web with now. I also have Amazon Prime, so I can watch shows and movies on it. This was my grandma's 2nd Kindle, she was upgrading from an older version. We both love our Kindle Fires!!
