This works awesomely with our Echo Dot (as long as you say your phrase correctly). Much better than a timer.

I like having this plug to turn lights on and off. This plug is very reliable and easy to use.

Purchased to activate a living room light. Very easy to sync with Alexa/Echo Dot. Made sure it was plugged in close proximity to Dot when syncing and synced almost immediately. I was able to rename plug just by asking Alexa to do so. Then, moved plug to different outlet approximately 15-20 feet from Echo and have no problems turning on floor lamp. Plan to purchase more and like the fact I don't have to download another app in order to operate.

Its a nice smart plug if you want to turn on and off Jeff B's wife using Alexa. Maybe that's the reason for the divorce. Any hoo if you need a smart plug that is controlled by that spying, manipulating, chick Alexa, Go ahead and buy one. I just didn't want their data center to know when I was turning lights on and off and listening to me balls deep in the wife.

These are very handy, and while I was brand agnostic about smart plugs before, I have since given myself over to my Amazon overlords. The Amazon plugs are smaller than some brands and can be easily stacked vertically, whereas some other brands take up two sockets. We also use the alexa app as a smarthub of sorts, and it is just easier to have amazon plugs that don’t involve other apps.

I like the Amazon plug and have had a good experience with it. Setup is extremely easy with the Alexa app - I had the plug running in under 5 minutes. Used all Christmas break to control the lights on our tree - a simple thing that has made a big difference over crawling behind it everyday to plug or unplug the lights. Also programmed it to turn off every night - no more forgetting! I’d recommend to anyone comfortable with Alexa and Echo devices.

I bought my Smart Plug specifically to allow me to have Alexa start my coffee in the morning. Because that can be at varying times, I thought the Smart Plug would be perfect. Unfortunately, it does not work with coffee makers that have push button electronic on/off switches. The only kind of coffee maker it works on is one that has a flip switch for on/off which allows you to always keep it in the on position unlike the electronic versions. As a result, I returned the Smart Plug. I am still giving it a Good rating as I believe it has many solid applications. Just not for what I needed.

Got this item at a reduced price when I purchased my Amazon Echo. Didn't really know if I would use it. However, I did try it out and I think it is the coolest thing. Was easy to set up using the Amazon Alexa app on my phone. Now, thru the app, I can ask Alexa to turn on my light. This will be quite handy if I am out late and the "timers" my lights are normally on have shut off automatically. Again, quite cool.

Purchased another Amazon Smart Plug to pair with our Amazon Echo so we could have "Alexa" turn on/off the Family room end table lamp when we are gone or will be after dark when we return. We can use the app on our phone to do this which makes it a breeze. This is our 4th Amazon Smart Plug and they all paired easily and work great. Will be purchasing a couple more I'm sure.

Stupid simple setup with Amazon Alexa echo dot and a smart phone. Haven't had any issues. I wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't 5 bucks when I got the echo at black Friday. But now I have bought them regular price for all of my lamps and lights coffee machine etc. Amazing!!!! Stick with an easy name. Lamp 1,2,3 or even if its longer master bedroom lights what have you... changing the name a few times confuses us humans, Alexa keeps up just fine

Plugin and ask Alexa to turn on TV - wow! Turns on lights or whatever you plug in.
