Easy peasey setup. This one worked perfect for a week, then completely dead. I have two others that I bought previously on Amazon & are still working, but started having issues connecting recently (about 2 months old).

Does not work with Alexa. Go figure. Its made for Amazon, you would think it would work with an Amazon product!! It will connect to Alexa for about an hour then Alexa cant connect to it. You need to reset it. Yes, I went thru the 1000000's or forum board ideas and suggestions and still F's up after an hour. I guess having a huge collection of forum board posts about it should give you a clue to how bad this is... it works if you use the App, but that's not why I have Alexa!! Its going back to Best Buy

Very cool idea. Only paid 5 Bucks. Not sure if I would pay more.

It only lasted a month. It's dead now. This is trash.

I can’t get it to connect or stay connected. May be an issue with my router but I got it connected a few times and it wouldn’t last. Now I can’t get it to connect at all.

I bought this plug to use with a gift of a gen 3 echo dot so I could turn on and off a lamp. It claimed to be able to connect to Alexa gen 3 echo dot but she refuses to recognize it. It only works with the Alexa app installed on my phone to turn on and off the lamp

Gave as a xmas gift and the person really liked it.

I would recommend getting the complete home system.

Bought this with high expectations since it is in fact an Amazon product. Unfortunately, things just didn’t work out well at all. Of all the plugs I have, this one does not perform well at all. It never did hold the connection to my wi-fi well and it continues to get worse as time goes on. I would like very much to get a refund on this and investest in another Wemo plug. I have around 20 Wemo products and have been very pleased with them. Guess I’m just stuck with this one Amazon unit as I am sure Best Buy would not stand behind this Amazon item! Oh, well,

Kept disconnecting itself after setup. Read you could fix by changing router settings but it wasnt worth the hassle.

First negative review. This thing works great (when it works). About six months after we bought one it stopped pairing with the app or Alexa. Too bad because it’s a good idea in theory.

Very disappointed, a waste of money. Luckily I only paid (wasted) $5 as this was a promo bundle when I purchased my Alexa Show. Failed to pair with my Echo Show, despite them both being Amazon Alexa supported devices. I work in IT and have extensive experience with smart home (ie SmartThings), networking/WiFi, and other Amazon Echo devices. I tried multiple times to pair the device, several hard resets, and multiple calls to tech support. It just didn't work. Never any issues with any of my ZWave + smart outlets. I do NOT recommend this to anyone.

Great computer, but having a key which doesnt work...kinda frustrating, cuz, of course, I'm gonna have to turn it in for 2 weeks just for them to fix it...

Only works wiht Amazon Alexa! Even though $5 it can not work with another other system other than Amazons.

This plug is very simple for its price. It also makes a horrible high pitch squeal when the device is not turned "on". There are other cheaper options that I would buy instead. I would not pay $25 for this product again. Only works with Alexa products. Does not integrate with any other smart home brand. Seems too high priced for so many limitations.

using this to turn my lights on and off in my bedroom. It likes to disconnect very often. Not really sure what the problem is.

I can set it up to turn it on/off through alexa, but wait for the next day, it was unresponsive. i had to hold the button & replug in to reset it. The next day, it is unresponsive again, I have never had a product that is so unreliable. I have iphone 8+ with updated IOS and app, under very good mesh wifi signal. I will return both, they won't even worth the low price i got about six bucks.
