I tried this product with my lamp and it did not work.

Waste of money, stick with Wemo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It died after 10month of use. Can't find a warranty replacement.

I got this free with the computer but it hasn't come as of yet

The Amazon Smart Plug is the best smart outlet I’ve ever used - simply because it works! I’ve waited to write this review because I wanted to stress test the plug for a few days... each and every time I’ve asked Alexa to turn on the lamp that is connected, it behaved exactly as intended. And the plug integrates perfectly with Alexa. I could not ask for a better smart plug than this Amazon branded plug.

Sooooo convenient. I use this product to turn on my lamp handsfree.

I had trouble linking the plug to the Alexa app. I kept getting a "provisioning" error telling me that it couldn't connect to my network. I had no such trouble with my first plug purchased directly from Amazon. I returned the device and bought another, with which I had the same failure to link. I finally called Amazon customer service and spoke with Joseph. He identified that the problem might be due to the device MAC address not being in the list of allowed devices in my router; indeed, shortly before I tried to link the second Smart Plug I had enabled MAC filtering, which I didn't realize would block addition of new devices to the network unless I manually entered the MAC address. Joseph manually entered the MAC into my Alexa account and I manually entered it into the router. Bingo! the plug linked and works perfectly. The failure to link had nothing to do with the Smart Plug. This all sounds complicated but the solution is simple. Turn off MAC filtering in your router before you add a new IoT device. Five stars for the product and five more for Amazon Customer Service whose persistence helped me identify my user error!

We purchased the Amazon Smart Plug along with an Amazon Echo Dot on Black Friday. These plugs have an incredible Wifi range and allow for easy control of appliances. We have used our plug to control the lights on our Christmas tree and are very pleased!!

After a fail attempt with etekcity WiFi to connect to my home I set product back and purchased the amazon plug. Set was easy by scanning bar code then auto connect in less than 60 sec. Took a little time figuring out how to rename plug from 1st plug but I works.

I have already owned a bunch of those plugs in my home because it is so convenient. I already use the schedule function to create a regular routine using those smart plugs.

Completely revamped the way i use normal appliances. I have used it to control christmas trees, time oil diffusers, vary lighting for my pets. It is a must have for eveyone.

These are easy to use; decent price, and works pretty well.
