I had a Terk 65+ mile indoor that I just payed in my closet and connected to excising cables to send signal to various rooms..only had 2 TV’s hooked up but wanted to add third and see if moving antenna to attic would improve signal. I installed this clear stream and only 1 tv hooked up and I get signal but also a lot of pixaltion or weak signals. 1 tv and the amplifier is plugged in. I think my terk that I carelessly just laying in the closet got better signal strength and I paid much less for it.

Posted .Hi Bill! Antenna signals can be tricky due to fluctuations in signal strength coming from the TV transmitting towers and atmospheric conditions. Please try moving the antenna to another location, up higher is always best, and rescan your TV for channels. We recommend you try moving your antenna to several locations and rescan your TV every time you move the antenna until you find the best signals. Also, please try running a channel scan without the included amplifier to see if that improves your signal reception or the number of channels you are receiving. The reception is not perfect and depending on the weather it is not good enough. Of course, before digital if the signal wasn't perfect, you still got coverage. Now, you miss dialog as it cuts in and out. If only it were a wee bit stronger. The app provided to help aim antenna is very helpful. installation was not difficult. 30 ft cable not really long enough to get it up on the roof of the house.

There are many factors that could be causing interference with the TV signals, such as other electronics in your living space or heavy foliage in the area. We always recommend you place the antenna as high as possible, as trees and buildings can block some TV signals. It was advertised to do just that inside the house or outside. Unfortunately for me that isn't the case. I live in a two story so I installed it across a window upstairs. But, instead of the 65 stations in my area, I could inly pick up 45. I will have to install it outside and see what it can do.

Once I had it pointed in the best direction I got 57 channels. Sometimes signal struggles a little but overall it’s very good! All I really wanted is to watch some football and now I can!

Posted .Hi there! Thank you for your honest review of our ClearStream 4MAX Complete Amplified HDTV Antenna. Depending on your distance from the nearest towers, you may want to run a channel scan without the included amplifier. Over-amplification can occur if you are trying to use an amp too close to the broadcast towers and could very well make your reception worse. We also have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. If this does not help, please give our tech support team a call at 877-825-5572 and they will perform a FREE signal analysis, this will better assist them in pinpointing what the problem may be. It is honestly not such in instructions. I will keep trying as I haven't got it installed yet. I will have to watch a video and hope for the best.
