Antenna was supposed to be good out to 70 + miles. It looked like we picked up about 36 channels, but still could not get good reception. They had only a 2 week grace period before returning, so did not have a lot of time to really check it out.

There are a wide variety of reasons that could be causing interference with the TV signals, such as other electronics in your living space or where the towers are located could be on the opposite side of your home. Also, with the 4MAX most people tend to place the antenna close to the floor. The towers are 1500 feet up in the air, so the higher you can get your antenna the better. Works o.k. but it's way overpriced.

I bought my own amplifier and when I connected it to this antenna I was able to get extra channels. As far as the range I bought a $50 antenna that gets me about the same range.

Which it does regularly in New Mexico. And I wasn’t aware that it required a signal booster for each television.

If you refer to your instruction manual that came with the antenna, you will notice an illustration showing that the amplifier will go between the antenna and the splitter, and that should be the only amplifier you will need to boost the signal. I am unable to receive my local channels only 30 miles away. It does not work well inside. Though it is light, it is bulky. I would not recommend this antenna for any applications.

Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. Remember to re-scan for channels each time it is adjusted. We also have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. This is very helpful, as some folks are unsure where the closest towers are located in their area. I add a half coat hanger to the lower antenna and it improved greatly but still have issues on windy or stormy days. I'd return and seek something better but it's to cold to take down.
