Depending on your distance from the nearest towers, you may want to run a channel scan without the included amplifier. Over-amplification can occur if you are trying to use an amp too close to the broadcast towers. We also have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. If this does not help, before you return the antenna, please give our tech support team a call at 877-825-5572 and they will perform a FREE signal analysis, this will better assist them in pinpointing what the problem may be. We wish that before you returned the product you would have given us a call. We take great pride in making our customers happy and have the best customer service in the industry. The issue may have been as simple as needing to remove the included amplifier and re-scanning for channels without it. In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TV. Assembled it all together, that was easy. Then I got to little connector that hooks up to your TV that you run your cable into. I have a $20 antenna that has a better table connector nut than this thing does. I cannot even get it to screw into the TV. $200 and they can't do better than that. I'm going to have to go out by a short piece of cable that has a decent end on it screwed into my TV get a female to female connector and then connected that way. Shouldn't have to do all this.

Antenna signals can be tricky due to fluctuations in signal strength coming from the TV transmitting towers and atmospheric conditions. Try moving the antenna to another location, up higher is always best, and rescan your TV for channels. We recommend you try moving your antenna to several locations and rescan your TV every time you move the antenna until you find the best signals. You may also want to try running a channel scan without the included amplifier. Over-amplification can occur if you are trying to use an amp too close to the broadcast towers. I could get one channel with this antenna, and not very well at that. I can get 4 and sometimes 5 channels with cheap cardboard one.

The documentation is clear for the simplest case but doesn't give enough info on diagnostics when it gets pixelated images with amplification and nothing without it. Do you have an expert one can call for this? I don't know what to try next.

For indoor purposes, even an indoor/outdoor antenna needs to be up high. Towers are 1500 feet up in the air. Most of those signals are not pointing down, so we always recommend placing the antenna up as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception.
