The unit was easy to put together and install. We chose to put it high on the side of the house rather than going through the roof. It has beautiful reception; however (as expected), on very windy, stormy days, the signal gets weak and the picture breaks up. I get quite a lot of stations being located in Buffalo, NY with a range of 70 miles.

We purchased the ClearStream 4MAX Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna in order to pick up local TV stations which were previously dropped by our cable carrier. The Clear Stream antenna works well, initially receiving 12 channels. We subsequently purchased an amplifier boosting reception quality and the number of stations (now receiving 38 channels!).

I can’t express how impressed I am with this antenna. I just purchased an antenna by Core Innovations a couple days ago. I had that antenna in my window and was only able to pull down about 20 channels with fair quality. Today I decided to return that antenna and try this one. I figured if this antenna does not receive the signal quality I want, no other antenna will. I assembled this antenna and decided to just try it inside my home before going through the trouble of mounting it outside my home. UNBELIEVABLE is all I can say! I hand tightened the screws to assemble it and have it on a chair in my basement. Not even in my window. I am receiving 59 channels with good to excellent quality. I’m so happy with the quality I’m debating just standing it behind my tv facing the direction I currently have it in. Yes this antenna is expensive but if you are serious about trying to receive as many OTA channels as possible, this is the antenna you will need.

Install was easy and works as advertised with just a little aiming adjustment. Very happy with this purchase. The item was installed in my attic and my roof decking has foil backing. Antenna still worked perfectly.

Nice Antena easy to install, no issues what so ever looks good on tge roof too !! I had no issues came with everything I needed for a clean install. I actually received more channels than I expected great product !!

I’ve tried several (really many) antennas over the past few years. None worked as described. Now I needed an indoor one that could pull in more stations and with better reception. This 70 mile one works well— I receive more stations with better reception. Our neighbor uses it out side and gets all the local stations.

I bought this to cut the cable bill. Easy to assemble and install; put it on our house peak and we pick up 14 stations - all the major channels - ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox plus a variety of PBS stations. Clear as cable and free. We already have Amazon Prime and recently joined Netlflix for $11 month - life is good! Now it is on sale for $99 too

I love how easy this is to use. You can attach it or just move it around your home. I get a lot of channels with it. Sometimes I use it indoors, other times I put it outside. Just depends where my tv is at the time. This is the second one I bought because I liked it so much at another home.

I have owned one of these types of Antennas before. Tried a couple of other kinds. Time wasted. Buy one like this and you can spend your time watching a maximum number of on-air channels. However, these antennas are a bit pricey. Perhaps if you live in an urban area you will not need this much horespower

Easy to set up and it works very well - better than I had hoped. I mounted it to a temporary stand and keep it inside (rather than outside on the roof) and I still get all the stations from the big market 60 miles away, crystal clear.

This over-the-air antenna is great! It was easy to install on my guest house, and I'm able to pick up at least 50 stations in the Albuquerque area. Local CBS, ABC, and NBC are crystal clear. The best part of this is NO MORE CABLE BILLS! A savings of over $100 per month! Thanks Clear Stream.

When Spectrum made another increase to my monthly TV service, I decided to finally cut the cord. I had an old Direct TV dish on top of my Roof with a coaxial cable already there. It was an easy task to slip off the satellite dish and slip on the ClearStream 4max antenna, utilizing the tripod already mounted on the roof. I put my address in to this website: http://www.tvfool.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29 and it gave me the optimum angle on a compass to point the antenna. I used my smartphone compass to point the antenna. I got 26 channels when I did the channel set up for my TV. The reception is crystal clear, just as good as cable. I did have a few weak signals however on the TV with the longest coax line TV. There are 5 TV's connected. A distribution signal booster from "Channel Master" easily took care of that problem.

For the past five years I've been using a $39 RCA roof antenna with satisfactory results. Unfortunately it faces directly into our neighbors trees that cause occasional interference, especially during summer months. The RCA antenna is considered to be directional, meaning it has to be pointed directly towards the transmission towers for best results. Where we are located, the major network towers are mostly in alignment, but some stations are further out or in other directions, so we had to settle for the major networks, although on good days they will all come in, hit or miss. Of course a rotator would solve that problem, however it was my understanding that the Clearstream 4MAX is an omnidirectional antenna, receiving channels from all directions. I paid $128 for the Clearstream, certain it would solve all my reception problems. I will say that it did have a slightly stronger signal where the major networks are concerned, but did nothing for the stations off axis or in fringe areas. I truly enjoy watching PBS nature and science shows and was hoping to improve that channel in particular. Instead, the channel did not pick up at all. Did some research and there was mention that the antenna has some sort of built in threshold, where if a signal is weak, the antenna will simply filter it out completely, not giving you the option to watch what little signal there might be. Not sure if it's true, but I would have to go along with that theory in my experience. As for the antenna being omnidirectional, I don't believe that is the case. The Clearstream still required directioning. Stations I would have expected to pick up from outlying areas were completely filtered out, even if I faced the antenna directly at them. Hmmm. So I figured maybe it was just a temporary atmospheric thing going on and tried it for a week. Now mind you, I had the RCA mounted on the roof with a ten pole held up with a tripod, no guy wires. The horizontal design of the RCA offers little wind resistance and held up even during a few hurricanes. The vertical design of this Clearstream 4MAX essentially turns it into a kite. I held my breath as I watched it wobble around during a rainstorm. The next day I went out and designed a sturdier eave mounted system, but in doing so I lost about five feet in height. What concerned me most when I went to remove the Clearstream from the old pole, water started coming out. I gave it a shake, it was filled with rain water! That was the last straw. To me this antenna is an overpriced gimmick designed for indoor use in urban areas free from trees. Wouldn't recommend for outdoor use, nor expect it to perform as an omnidirectional antenna should. Remounted the old RCA and things were back in order, including my PBS channel. Returned the Clearstream 4MAX to Best Buy.

Great product! Excellent reception where I am located. Used at two different locations and it has performed superbly. Package contained items I needed to mount appropriately. I'm going into year two shortly and it has not disappointed. The app is nice for aiming as well.

This antenna was purchased so we could get our local stations. It provides a very good picture - reception is better (even than our Direct TV was). The intention is to mount this outside (once the weather improves).

I was very skeptical about spending this much for an antenna. Put it up 4 feet above our metal roof. Started and can and got 4 channels. Turned the antenna about 20-30 degree south and now am getting 20 channels. The quality of the picture is so much better then we had with cable. Also I didn't skimp on the RG6 cable to connect to the tv. Buy it once and enjoy!

Live somewhat close to rural area, although further Fox and NBC stations are good 35+miles away. Luckily CBS, PBS and ABC are pretty close on back side of antenna. Pointed at Fox and NBC and get all stations fine, plus the usual others, CW, Grit, Laff, Timeless TV.Classic Movie channels, etc. Approx 35 channels although about 5 of them are shopping networks. TVFool.com can tell you how far away they are and which direction to point from your address. Have tried multiple antenna's but this one is best. If you can use solid copper Coax for connection between TV and Antenna that is best. Also may need a low pre-amp if you are a long distance away from antenna's. This is directional antenna so factor that in. My channels/antenna are in line both North and South for most part so works great. Need both UHF and VHF in a lot of areas, this one supports both.

Living in a rural area between two cities (one forty-five miles away and the other 70), it is hard to get all of the channels to come in. No antenna I tried brought in all I wanted, so I wasn't expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that not only did I get more channels, but the signal is better.

This is THE tv antenna to get! Easy to set up. Nearest towers 40 miles away. Put it up in the attic. 52 channels. No problem with anything. Crystal clear picture. Got ALL my local major networks. Football, Football, Football.... was able to split the signal to 3 different TVs. 3 games going at same time NO delays! Free TV rocks!

Great antenna for cutting the cable. I live 14 miles from a major city and 60 miles from another city. I can pick up 97 channels. Easy to install and adjust.
