Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent at first… (with no big apps) but once you started downloading apps I.e LOGIC … your computer will start to slow up and potentially crash (as mine do) which honestly I think has to do with the little 8gb ram installed… I have yet to upgrade my ram and I’ve have the computer for coming up on 2 years now. Just wanted to give a review after I’ve put the Mac to work.

I have always been a fan of their high quality screens, integrated desktop design, user-friendly interface, and longevity. I purchased this Intel Core i3 model but returned it within the week. I thought the performance was waaaay below that of the 10-year old Intel Core i5 model that I was replacing. Specifically, startup takes about 75 seconds which felt way too slow for the modern computing era. Further, each click of the mouse or change in application resulted in a pause of about 3-10 seconds. If you are OK with that kind of performance, then you will be satisfied with this computer. Given the cut-throat competition in the personal computing market, I think Mac needs to do better, I remain an iMac fan but felt that I needed to upgrade to the i7 Core processor at substantially more cost to get the performance I could live with.
