Bought a refurbished iMac and it said it was geek squad certified. It is extremely slow with starting up any applications. If I'm trying to load anything bigger like adobe apps, most of the time the app crashes. Simple microsoft word, excel, powerpoint etc. take forever to load. On a good day, I can browse the internet. Have tried to get help from apple support many times, and no one seems to know what the root of the issue is.

Let me begin by stating I love apple products. It’s all I buy. I have MacBook Pro it’s the best. I decided to buy this as well. Don’t waste your money. Worst computer ever. I don’t even mean actually getting on the web. It takes for ever to load and then you’re about ready to pull your hair out or through the computer out the door. It’s so slow and useless.

When editing with Lightroom and Photoshop is way too slow

I have only used this computer a few times and it is extremely sluggish. Spinning ball for at least 10 -20 seconds before any task. I was "upgrading" from an older model which runs faster than this one and it's ten years old. I called BestBuy and she said there was nothing they could do. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPUTER. I feel like I bought a lemon.

This computer did not work for us. Very slow to boot up and slow in general. Might be ok with SSD.

Performance of this product lacks the ability to use multiple applications. I movie crashes a lot.

So dissatisfied. Had to install a new operating system on day one. Very, very slow, takes forever to load at nearly impossible to shut down most of the time. AppleCare is somewhat helpful but I’m tired of having to install new operating system on a brand new computer. I would not under any circumstances recommend this computer

Seemed to be a glitch that made computer impossibly slow. Returned for another IMac.

This review is on Best Buy and not the product. A 5-Star product, but was very disappointed it was more than a year old out of the unopened box. Required a major OS upgrade (10. to 11.) day-1 taking several hours before use. Makes an argument to consider buying products directly from Apple in future.

This is great for Internet use, that is it. Will be slow to run anything else

Bought this iMac as a birthday gift for a friend two months ago and the computer is so slow that it's not even usable. Trying to get friend hooked up with the 3 year mac service plan that I purchased and have not been able to get a hold of Best Buy to make that happen. This is costing me time and headache.

Sad Apple still puts a 5400 speed HD in this, why spend the$$. Only option is to buy an SSD and boot externally if you want a good experience. I ended up returning it.

This was a replacement for a 2006 iMac 20. Out of the box it took an extremely long time to start. To open any application took time to open. 2006 iMac 20 ran faster. Returned iMac 21.5 next day and purchased MacBook Pro.

I had my first Mac for 11 years and it worked great till the end. I bought this iMac end it is so slow and horrible! I was told Buy a geek squad rep there’s an old processor in it and I would have to buy a new processor to make it work better which is absolutely ridiculous.

I have had this product for less than a month and it is completely frustrating. It is extremely slow and takes about 5 minutes to save an image. I do not recommend. I am not sure what the problem is considering it is MAC but never again.

Very slow. Click on a item to open and it takes more than 30-45 seconds to open the program. Tried to return before the 30 day time frame. Their policy was 15 days. Not happy with either the Apple or Best Buy.

I even can't use "Chrome browser" because it makes the computer very very slow. I've talked six-time with Apple and visited the Apple store to fix the issue 3 times. They weren't helpful. Don't buy this model!

Worst computer ever. The slowest thing in the world. I can’t even open the setting without waiting an eternity for it. Don’t bother wasting your money or time.
