This computer was slower than my 10 year old iMac. I returned it. Don’t waste your time with the stock model. Customize it with more RAM and SSD hard drive instead.

damaged and defective. returned in store and they are telling me I have to wait 45 days for a return.

I bought this computer for my wife and we did not know that the hard drive was super slow. Now we are stuck with a nice looking but slow computer.

Do not buy this model. It is a standard hard drive — not solid state. It runs soooooo slowwwww. You will be so disappointed.

While going through the setup the system was ready to update the software and during the reboot the system did not come back up.

Computer was very slow and wasn’t what I was expecting.

I'm not sure where to start, I guess I'll get straight to the point. This iMac is simply bad. I have no idea how so many people give it good reviews, it's virtually unusable, I guess maybe Apple users are just used to it, IDK. And why is that? Besides the basic CPU, that should in theory still be fine for basic users, Apple put a slowest mechanical hard drive possible. 5400 RPM hard drive. In 2019. We all know it's not an accident. They know that if not now, many users will buy a more expensive model next time. Because of this, this machine is painfully slow. It takes good 3-4 minutes to boot, and opening any window takes at least 5 second, many times load times can reach 15-20 seconds. You sure stare at the spinning beach ball a lot. This is just not ok for a new computer in 2019. Embarrassing. Because of that, we just returned it and bout a Windows machine for the same money that's many times faster and better in every metric, with a much larger 4K screen. Now we have a computer that actually feels like a modern computer. To be fair, I will say not everything is bad on this mac. A 4K screen is beautiful. The design is clean, even if is a little bit outdated, speakers are nice, and included keyboard and mouse are high end compared to anything that comes with Windows PCs. Still, it may have the best screen in the world and nicest peripherals, but all that good stuff is totally useless with the slowest computer I've experienced in the past 10 years. Hech even our old iMac from 2009 runs smoother than this. Apple should be ashamed to even sell these traps. The only reason it has two stars is for display and built quality, other than that this thing doesn't deserve to exist.

If you’re a fan of Apple products, this computer won’t disappoint. Fast processing, nice quality screen and easy setup.
